Paradise Brew 5/6 - Winning in Paradise
FAU Softball made history by clinching the No. 1 seed in the AAC Tournament
Good morning, FAU Family. On Sunday afternoon, the Florida Atlantic softball team made history by clinching the No. 1 seed in the American Athletic Conference Tournament with a 6-2 victory over Tulsa.
With the weekend sweep, the Owls finish the regular season with a record of 41-13 and 21-6 in conference play. Their conference record earns them the title of Co-Regular Season Champions of the American Athletic Conference.
It was an all-around celebratory day in Paradise. Following the game and trophy presentation, 11 seniors were honored for their contributions to the program.

🔼 Pomp and Spring Circumstance. Florida Atlantic Athletics has the opportunity to celebrate its truest success stories three times a year. On Thursday and Friday of this week, the Owls welcomed family and friends from across the world to the Boca Raton campus for graduation ceremonies.
Over the two-day period, 89 student-athletes conferred degrees in 22 disciplines, six earned certification in their undergraduate area of study, and five completed their master's degree.

🔼 Bend It Like Beckham. Florida Atlantic men's soccer is set to host five summer camps for boys ages 5-14. Beginning June 3, your youngster can train with FAU coaches and players. Each camp will include training, concessions, lunch, prizes, and a t-shirt. Aftercare is also available.

🔼 Bump This Post. The Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team finished the 2024 season strong, earning six Conference USA postseason accolades, including three first-team all-conference nods, a second-team all-conference selection, and a pair of all-freshman team honors.
CUSA First Team All-Conference: Ashleigh Adams, Julie Honzovicova, and Marketa Svozilova

CUSA All-Freshman Team: Olivia Strandberg and Sloane Woolwine
🔼 Rally Caps Were Secured. FAU Baseball scored two runs in the ninth inning to defeat UAB 6-5 on Sunday and stave off a three-game sweep. At 10-11 in the AAC, the Owls remain one game ahead of UAB in sixth place with six games remaining.
Christian Adams and John Schroeder paced the offense with three and two hits, respectively. Carter Brady finished 2-for-5 with three RBI. The Owls outhit UAB 11-5 after being outhit 12-3 in game one and 18-1 in game two. Sam Drumheller appeared on the mound in his 95th career game and earned the win to improve to 2-0.
The Owls will face Florida Gulf Coast in a 7/9 doubleheader tomorrow. First pitch for game one at the FAU Baseball Stadium is scheduled for 2 p.m. EST.
🦉 ONE BIG THING
Mad Max. ICYMI! Florida Atlantic graduate senior Max Sturdza has earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional taking place May 13-15. Sturdza will become the second FAU men's golfer to compete in NCAA postseason play, joining Kelly McHugh, who also appeared as an individual in 2009.
