Happy Monday, Owl Nation! Five Florida Atlantic men's and women's swimming & diving team members have earned Scholar All-American honors for the 2023-24 academic year.
 
In addition to FAU receiving team honors for the fall 2023 and spring 2024 semesters, Alicia Mora, Grace Powell, and Selina Staudenherz of the women's team, as well as Dalton Lillbridge and Jack Sheehan of the men's team, each received an individual honor.
 
To qualify for First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second-Team selections must have earned a 3.5 GPA or higher and met a "B" time standard for the national championship, or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet.

🔼 Sand ‘n’ Smarts. The Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team was awarded the Conference USA Sport Academic Award for beach volleyball for the 2023-24 academic year.
 
The honor is awarded to the institution with the highest cumulative GPA for the 2023-24 academic year. After another year of excellence in the classroom and on the sand, the Sandy Owls' posted an impressive 3.688 cumulative GPA this past academic year.
 
The Sandy Owls featured all 18 student-athletes on the CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll, while 12 received the league's highest honor of the Commissioner's Academic Medal. Individually, Ashleigh Adams was honored on the CUSA All-Academic Team earlier this year.
