TV is great but the Elly is better - the Owls WBB face the 'Runners tonight - MBB plays UAB on Sunday
Good morning. FAU men's basketball team (11-4) remains in the Associated Press Top 25 for the 10th straight week, coming in at No. 24 in the latest AP poll.
Florida Atlantic also enters the week at No. 26 in the NCAA's latest NET ranking, which _is one of the key tools used by the NCAA Tournament committee in selecting the tournament field. The Owls are the American Athletic Conference's only team inside the top 30 of the NET.
The Owls' inaugural AAC campaign is underway, with FAU taking down ECU, 79-64, on Jan. 2 and coming up just short against Charlotte, 70-68, on Saturday, Jan. 6.
The No. 24 Owls remain on the road to take on Tulane (10-4) on Thursday, Jan. 11, before hosting UAB at the Elly on Sunday, Jan. 14, tipping off at 12pm ET.

🔼 Ready for Their Elly Jelly. The Florida Atlantic Owls (5-9, 0-3 AAC) women’s basketball team will take the court at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena for the first time in 2024 as they host the UTSA Roadrunners (7-7, 1-2 AAC) for a midweek matchup tonight! Tipoff is set for 7pm ET.
The Owls look to snap a four-game skid with the help of their team leaders—Mya Perry, Janeta Rozentale, Jada Moore, and Aniya Hubbard. Perry leads the Owls with a team-leading 153 points, averaging 11.8 points per game. Moore has posted a team second-best 143 points, averaging 11.9 points per game, while Rozentale has tallied 138 points with a team fourth-best 9.9 points per game. Hubbard rounds out the Owls double-figure scorers with a team-leading 18.2 points per game, scoring 109 points this season.
The series history is tied 8-8 between Florida Atlantic and UTSA. However, the Owls hold a healthy advantage on their home court, leading UTSA 5-2 all-time.
The Owls will close out their first homestand of 2024 on Saturday, Jan. 13 against the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. Tipoff is set for 2pm ET at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena and on ESPN+.
