🔼 Owl See You in the NFL. The 2025 NFL season has begun! Florida Atlantic once again boasts talent across the professional ranks, with three on an active 53-man roster (#0 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | Houston Texans, #91 Trey Hendrickson | DE | Cincinnati Bengals, #26 Devin Singletary | RB | New York Giants) and five currently on a practice squad.

🔼 Blip On the Radar. No. 19 Florida Atlantic men's soccer (3-1) saw its perfect start to the season halted on Thursday night with a 5-0 defeat at the hands of North Florida (2-3). The Owls conceded for the first time this season when the Ospreys opened the scoring in the 14th minute.

The Owls look to get back in the dub column as they continue a four-game road stretch on Sunday at Stetson. Start time is set for 6 p.m. ET in DeLand.

🔼 To the Max in Jax. The Florida Atlantic women's soccer team ended the night with a 3-2 victory in Jacksonville on Thursday evening. The Owls (2-4-1) improved their record as they picked up the first road win of the season.

For the fourth match in a row, FAU scored first to take the momentum. In the first 45 seconds, sophomore Hailey Santiago connected with the back of the net for her first goal of the season to take the lead (1-0) for Florida Atlantic. For the second time this season, transfer Megan Hogate started in goal for the Owls. With the FAU win, at the end of the 90 minutes, Hogate recorded her first career win.

🔼 Michigan or Bust. The Florida Atlantic Owls hit the road for the first time in 2025, heading to Ann Arbor, Michigan, to compete at the Michigan Invitational today and tomorrow.

FAU will kick off the weekend against Marshall today at noon ET, before wrapping up its first day of competition against host Michigan at 7 p.m. ET. The Owls will wrap up the weekend on Saturday at noon against Southern Indiana.

🔼 And They’re Off. After the Florida Atlantic Invitational was canceled due to the weather, the Owls’ cross country teams will compete for the first time this season just north of campus at the Keiser Invitational to kick things off for the 2025 season.

The competition will take place today at Okeeheelee Park South in West Palm Beach, with the men scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m. ET and the women at 7:55 a.m.

🔼 Tooley Double Take. Redshirt sophomore DB Chris Tooley III has a name to live up to at Florida Atlantic while also cementing his own path.

Now in his third season with the Owls, Tooley III is seeing increased playing time, including making his first collegiate start on August 30 against Maryland. This comes six years after his cousin of the same name, Chris Tooley, completed a four-year playing career with FAU, during which he served as the starting cornerback for two Conference Championship teams in 2017 and 2019.

Get to know more about the Tooleys in a Season 10, Episode 3 feature of Inside the Owls' Burrow, which airs weekly on Fan Duel Sports Network Florida and can be watched on YouTube.

🔼 It’s in the Genes … and Jeans. Redshirt junior CJ Doggette Jr. comes from an accomplished family of athletes, with his father a professional football player and his mother and sisters as successful collegiate gymnasts.

Now in his first season with Florida Atlantic and fourth overall, Doggette Jr. continues his family legacy, playing a key role for the Owls as a captain and starting defensive lineman. He balances his collegiate athlete life with his passion off the field: his own clothing design brand.

Get to know more about Doggette Jr. in Season 10, Episode 3 of Inside the Owls' Burrow.
