FAU Football took Wagner down in blowout fashion on Saturday night
Good Morning, Owl Nation. Florida Atlantic's football team took down Wagner in blowout fashion with a 41-10 victory at FAU Stadium on Saturday evening.
The Owls, who now move to 2-3 on the season, controlled all phases of the game from start to finish but ran away with 24 unanswered points in the second half.
It was a battle in the trenches that fell in favor of FAU, holding Wagner to 20 rushing yards on 26 attempts and 13 tackles-for-loss on defense while, for the second time this season, hitting an all-time program mark with five rushing touchdowns, tied for fourth most in a single game.

🏐 FAU Volleyball sweeps Charlotte
🦉 And much, much more
📈 STOCK UP
🔼 We’ve Got 99 Problems, But the 49ers Ain’t One. Florida Atlantic volleyball dominated the day on Sunday, earning their first AAC sweep of the season against the Charlotte 49ers, 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-16).
The Owls improve to 9-5 overall and 1-1 in AAC play, while Charlotte drops to 3-12 on the season and 0-2 in conference play.
🔼 Iron Will. Florida Atlantic men's golf will try to go back-to-back at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic beginning today in Greenville, North Carolina. The Owls came away with a seven-shot team victory at this event last season.
The Owls will make one change to the lineup that opened the season in Myrtle Beach in early September. Andres Atrio will make his season debut after competing in nine events as a freshman.
The field features 15 teams and 88 individual competitors. Temple and tournament host East Carolina are the other AAC teams competing.
🔼 Even Steven. Florida Atlantic men's soccer (2-3-3) drew 1-1 with Temple (2-5-3) on Sunday afternoon. Both teams will enter match week three in the AAC at 0-1-1 in league play.
Temple broke the through first after an FAU failed clearance in the 69th minute. Edgar Bazan's shot to the lower left post was just out of reach for goalkeeper Nacho Alfaro.
Florida Atlantic found the equalizer a little more than five minutes later. Aboubacar Traore's shot was saved, but the rebound fell directly into the path of Noah Kvifte, who tapped it in for his third goal of the season. Neither side could find the winner in the final 15 minutes.
🔼 The Real Deal. Florida Atlantic's track and field team met with Olympian gold medalist Twanisha "TeeTee" Terry on Saturday afternoon.
The Owls got to hear from a native South Florida professional athlete. Terry is a local who graduated from Miami Northwestern and, a couple of years later, fulfilled her lifelong dream of running in the 2024 Paris Olympics this past summer. She shared her experiences dating back to when she was a little girl starting to love the sport. Terry was able to share her collegiate experiences and life after college athletics into becoming a professional athlete, which led her to win a gold medal this summer.
🔼 Blip on the Pitch. Florida Atlantic's women's soccer team fell to the Blazers by a 1-0 score in an American Athletic Conference matchup on Sunday afternoon.
The Owls move to 2-6-3 overall and 1-2-1 in conference play after the match. This marked the second time these two teams have faced each other since entering the AAC. Florida Atlantic moves to 7-3-2 against UAB in program history.
The Owls return home to face Rice in Paradise for the first time since moving to the American Athletic Conference on Thursday, Oct. 10. Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m. ET.
