🔼 Stay in the Hoop Scoop Loop. The American Conference announced the conference schedule for the Florida Atlantic men's basketball team's 2025-26 slate, with tipoff times TBA.
FAU enters its third season in the American after recording seven consecutive winning seasons. Head Coach John Jakus enters his second year at the helm for the Owls with ten new faces and five returners on the squad.
The Owls will take on UTSA on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at home to kick off conference play and close out the last game of 2025 in the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. Fans will have the opportunity to pack the Elly another eight times during league play.

🔼 Friday Night Lights Futbol. Florida Atlantic men's soccer hosts FIU on Friday night in a matchup between two of the American Conference's top contenders. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+. Admission is free at the FAU Soccer Stadium.
The Owls (5-2, 1-0) are coming off a 3-1 win over Temple last Sunday. The win was the program's 300th all-time. Aboubacar Traore and Kerfalla Toure recorded a goal and an assist each. Toure was named American Conference Defensive Player of the Week, while Traore earned a place on the American Weekly Honorable Mention list for the second time this season.

- "Motor" touched the ball for a season high four carries, recording 11 yards in the Giants' 22-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Singletary added a new skill to his arsenal: returning kicks. He recorded 134 yards on five returns with a long of 33.
Giants' Record: 0-3
Next Game: vs. Kansas City – Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC)

🔼 Deuces All Around. Florida Atlantic's women's soccer ended the night in a 2-2 draw against Tulsa on Thursday evening. The Owls (3-7-2, 0-2-1) faced the Golden Hurricane of Tulsa (6-3-3, 1-1-1) in a Thursday night matchup in Paradise. The series record moves to 0-1-2.
Both teams ended the night in double figures in shots. FAU registered 12 while Tulsa recorded 15. FAU recorded a season-high nine shots on goal.
The Owls will face Temple in their final match of September on Sunday at 1 p.m., airing on ESPN+.

🔼 The Best Offense is a Good Defense. Aaron Schwanz joined the Florida Atlantic Owls in January of 2025 to help Defensive Coordinator Brett Dewhurst build a defense to complement a Coach Zach Kittley "air raid" offense.
Schwanz's linebackers are contributing a third of the team's tackles, with redshirt junior Zyere Horton leading the team with 15 total.
The segment is featured in Season 10, Episode 7 of Inside the Owls' Burrow, which airs weekly on Fan Duel Sports Network Florida and can be watched on on fausports.com or YouTube.

🔼 Glick’s Good Deeds. In an effort to make the Owls the hometown team for Boca Raton, student-athletes have totaled nearly 20,000 hours of community service during Vice President and Director of Athletics Brian White's tenure. In part of this effort, we will showcase our hometown student-athletes from the Florida Keys through West Palm Beach. Meet Florida Atlantic's men's cross country senior, Paul Glick, as one of our Hometown student-athletes of the "Hometown Team" series.

🔼 Off to the Races. The Florida Atlantic men's and women's cross country teams reunite for the annual FSU XC Invite today. Men will compete first to start the morning, and the women will follow to conclude the race.
The race will take place at Apalachee Regional Park, which is a familiar course for the Owls. The men will start at 7:40 a.m., and the women are scheduled to start at 8:20 a.m. Florida Atlantic will have seven representatives on the men's side. On the women's side, there will be ten runners to compete.

🔼 Owls Go the Extra Yard. Florida Atlantic football participated in the annual Extra Yard for Teachers initiative on Thursday afternoon, honoring educators who make a positive impact in their local community. The Owls visited Lindsey Wuest from AD Henderson and Ann Furey from J. C. Mitchell Elementary, recognizing each for their contributions to their students and schools. Students gathered as the instructors were presented checks from FAU Vice President and Director of Athletics Brian White and members of the football team, which will go towards funding school supplies.
