Good Morning, FAU Fam. That’s a win for FAU men’s golf! The Owls held off the field to win its own Florida Atlantic Invitational, finishing at 27-under for a one-shot victory over North Florida. It's the Owls' fifth team win in four years under head coach Adrien Mork.

NaShawn Tyson led the way individually, taking second at 11-under after a second straight 68. All five potential counting scores came in at even par or better, and Tristan Rhodenizer's up-and-down from a tricky spot on the final hole proved to be the difference. FAU heads to the West Bay Collegiate in Estero on Oct. 5-6.

🔼 This Week In Paradise. There’s plenty of Owls action left on the calendar this week! Thursday brings Inside the Owls' Burrow at 5:30 p.m. on The Spot, South Florida 39, and 6 p.m. on The Spot, South Florida 9, plus the Coaches Radio Show at Duffy's from 6-7 p.m. with Zach Kittley and wide receivers coach DJ McCarthy. The Paradise Patrol swings by Delray Little League on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and women's soccer closes out the weekend at home Sunday, hosting Memphis at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.

🔼 Hat Trick Of Honors. Hailey Santiago has made American Conference Offensive Player of the Week a habit, earning the award for the third time this season, and every time she's scored multiple goals, the honor has followed. Her latest came after a two-goal burst in the opening five minutes of the second half against Charlotte, sparking the Owls' comeback from a 2-0 halftime deficit. The junior striker is up to nine goals in 10 matches, tied for the conference lead. The Owls visit UAB on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET before hosting Memphis on Sunday at 6 p.m.

🔼 Shula Bowl Standout. Shula Bowl XXIV MVP Chris Tooley III picked up American Conference weekly honorable mention after helping Florida Atlantic reclaim the trophy in a 16-10 win over FIU. The senior defensive back's 42-yard interception return in the first quarter set up the Owls' only touchdown of the night, and he added five tackles, a tackle for loss, and a forced fumble. It's the second straight week an Owl has been recognized by the league after Caden Veltkamp's Offensive Player of the Week nod.

🔼 Record Giving. Florida Atlantic Athletics brought in a record $73,809 during Giving Day 2026, a 24.6 percent jump from last year. The effort drew 202 donors across FAU's 19 sports and the Paradise Club: 109 more than in 2025. The funds go toward increased resources for Owl student-athletes on and off the field. Giving Day may be over, but contributions to FAU Athletics are still open through the Paradise Club.

🔼 Pinned At The One. Reed Chandley earned a spot on the Ray Guy Award's Ray's 8 for Week 3, the first such honor of the junior punter's career. His biggest moment came with under two minutes left in Florida Atlantic's 16-10 Shula Bowl win, when he dropped a punt that was downed at the FIU 1-yard line, forcing the Panthers to go the length of the field, a drive the Owls' defense turned away in the red zone. Chandley averaged 48.2 yards on four punts, including a season-long 56-yarder.

🔼 Setting The Pace Again. Florida Atlantic volleyball swept all three matches at the Owls Paradise Classic, and the league took notice. Maya Van Heyst earned her second straight American Conference Setter of the Week honor after dishing out 113 assists as the Owls hit .421 across the weekend. Olivia Hart and Isabelle Northam picked up honorable mention nods, with Hart leading the team in kills at 35 and Northam anchoring the back row with 40 digs. FAU opens American Conference play Friday at North Texas at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

🔼 Hometown Header. Kevin Gorbell's first goal as an Owl couldn't have come at a better time. The senior defender and Boca Raton native headed home an 84th-minute equalizer to rescue a 2-2 draw with Memphis, earning American Conference Weekly Honorable Mention on Monday. He's the third Owl to earn the nod in the first five weeks of the season. FAU remains unbeaten at 2-0-5 and heads to Tulsa on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN+.

🔼 Fall Ball. Florida Atlantic softball's fall slate is set, with nine exhibition games and eight of them at Joan Joyce Field, and every one free and open to the public. It's the first chance to see a revamped roster featuring 16 newcomers as Jordan Clark enters her fifth season at the helm. The Owls open Friday, Oct. 30 against Lynn at 6 p.m., followed by home dates with Keiser and Eastern Florida that weekend. The fall wraps Nov. 14-15 with Palm Beach Atlantic and a final intrasquad scrimmage.
