🔼 Owls Take Flight. It's a busy week for the Owls as football and both cross country programs join the soccer and volleyball squads already in action. Women's soccer hosts the lone home event, welcoming Jacksonville to FAU Soccer Stadium tomorrow at 7 p.m. The Owls arrive fresh off a 1-1 draw with No. 20 Florida. Cross country opens its 2026 season Friday at North Florida, and football heads to the Swamp on Saturday for a 7:45 p.m. kickoff on SEC Network.

🔼 How Sweep It Is. Florida Atlantic women's soccer cleaned up in the American Conference weekly awards after a 1-0-1 stretch that included a 7-0 win over Howard and a 1-1 draw with No. 20 Florida. Junior forward Hailey Santiago took Offensive Player of the Week honors after a conference-high four goals.

Goalkeeper Ashley Small earned her nod with a career-high 10 saves against Florida, the most by an Owl keeper in nearly three years. Freshman of the Week Lola Hathorne notched her first career goal plus two assists against Howard.

🔼 First of the Season. Florida Atlantic senior Xavi Csato has been named an American Conference Weekly Honorable Mention, making him the first Owl to earn a league accolade this season. Csato turned in a goal and an assist Sunday night as FAU rallied from 2-0 and 3-2 deficits to earn a 3-3 draw with No. 20 NC State. Csato is tied for the team lead with two goals and five points through four games. The Owls sit at 2-0-2 heading into Saturday's matchup with Cleveland State.

🔼 Big League. Congratulations to former Owl BJ Murray, who has been called up to the majors by the Chicago Cubs! Murray hit .317 during his second sophomore season with FAU and led the team with 14 homers. The Cubs selected him in the 15th round after the 2021 season.

The Florida Atlantic Coaches Show returns Thursday, Sept. 3 from 6-7 p.m. at Duffy's Sports Grill on St. Andrew's Boulevard, with Ken LaVicka, Zach Kittley, Josh McCowan, and Brett Dewhurst previewing Saturday night's season opener at Florida.
