🔼 Owl Raid Rolls. Florida Atlantic lit up Flagler Credit Union Stadium on Saturday night, riding five touchdown passes from Caden Veltkamp to a 38-30 win over Navy in the American Conference opener. The crowd of 22,273 was the largest at an FAU home opener since 2019, and they got a record-filled night: Veltkamp tied his own single-game program mark for touchdown passes while completing 27 of 32 for 386 yards, and Collin Rogers drilled a 60-yard field goal as the first half expired to set a new program record. Easton Messer went off for a career-high 179 yards and two scores, including a 76-yard catch-and-run on the second play from scrimmage. It's also FAU's first win over a team receiving AP Top 25 votes since 2019.
🔼 Hot Start. FAU is off to a strong start in conference play, getting to 1-0 in the American with Saturday night’s W against Navy!
🔼 Next Level. Caden Veltkamp earned Player of the Game honors after he shredded Navy’s defense on Saturday night, going 27-for-32 with 386 yards and five touchdowns.

🔼 Heading Late. Down a goal with time running out, Florida Atlantic found its equalizer in the 84th minute Friday night. Michel Tentchou got his head to a Xavi Csato cross inside the six-yard box and guided it into the corner, tallying a 1-1 draw with Charlotte in the American Conference opener between last year's co-champions. It was Tentchou's team-leading third goal of the season. The Owls flipped the run of play after the break and finished with an 11-10 shot edge, while Alfred Mikkelsen made two saves in goal. FAU remains unbeaten at 2-0-4 and heads to Memphis on Sunday.
