🔼 Conference Play Opens. Florida Atlantic men's soccer opens American Conference play tonight at 7 p.m. on ESPN+, hosting Charlotte in a rematch of the two teams that shared the 2025 regular season title. The Owls arrive unbeaten at 2-0-3 behind a stingy back line, with Alfred Mikkelsen recording his fourth clean sheet in five matches last weekend, a mark that ties him for the Division I lead. FAU is chasing its first unbeaten start through six games since 2013. After tonight, the Owls hit the road for the rest of September before returning home Oct. 2 to host Temple.

🔼 Road Test. Florida Atlantic volleyball stays on the road this weekend with three matches in two cities, opening against No. 10 Florida today at 7 p.m. ET on SEC Network+. The Owls close out play in Gainesville against Troy tomorrow at 2 p.m. before heading to Tampa to face Dayton on Sunday at 1 p.m. FAU rolls in at 3-2, led by Sequoia Layne's team-best 40 kills and Maya Van Heyst's 132 assists. Olivia Surprenant provided the Owls' goal, the first of her collegiate career, and put all four of her shots on target off the bench. FAU controlled the run of play with a 16-11 edge in shots and pressed hard down the stretch, with Maiya Castillo forcing a save in the 90th minute. Keeper Lily Holden turned away six shots across the full 90.

🔼 Owls in the NFL. Six former Florida Atlantic players open the 2026 NFL season on rosters, with four on active 53-man squads. Azeez Al-Shaair heads into his fourth straight year as a team captain in Houston, coming off his first Pro Bowl berth and a $54 million deal. Trey Hendrickson starts a new chapter with Baltimore after four Pro Bowls in Cincinnati, having piled up the third-most sacks in the NFL since 2020. James Pierre lands in Minnesota on a new two-year deal, and Devin Singletary enters year three with the Giants. On practice squads, center Federico Maranges is back in Seattle and tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden joins Al-Shaair in Houston.
🔼 Donation Update. Touchdowns for Charity is back! Every time the Owls find the end zone this season, Flagler Credit Union makes a $200 charitable donation towards the Power of Sports. This year’s total stands at $600 donated so far, with plenty more to come!

🔼 Tyson Paces Owls. Florida Atlantic men's golf wrapped up the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate in seventh place at 3-under as a team. NaShawn Tyson led the way in a tie for 17th, closing with a 1-under 71 that featured six birdies, five of them coming in a seven-hole stretch on the back nine. Christian Veilleux matched that six-birdie total and signed for his second 71 of the week to climb 15 spots on the leaderboard. The Owls return home to host the Florida Atlantic Invitational at The Bear's Club in Jupiter on Sept. 21-22.
