🔼 Captains Named. Florida Atlantic football has its leaders for 2026! Second-year Hagerty Family Head Football Coach Zach Kittley announced six team captains: CJ Doggette Jr., Vincent Fiacable, Leon Hart Jr., Easton Messer, Tyson Rooks, and Caden Veltkamp.

🔼 Center Of Attention. FAU offensive lineman Vincent Fiacable was named to the Rimington Trophy Watch List, recognizing the top 40 centers in the nation. The graduate started 12 games last season, anchoring an Air Raid offense that finished No. 1 nationally in passing. He is one of four American Conference players on the list. FAU opens the season Sept. 5 at Florida.

🔼 Promo Time. FAU women's soccer released its 2026 game-by-game promotions, headlined by the Aug. 12 opener at Flagler Credit Union Stadium featuring a fan fest, giveaways, and a chance to win tickets to see Lionel Messi and Inter Miami. Other themed nights include a White Out against Florida on Aug. 30, a pink game against East Carolina on Oct. 15, and Alumni Day against Rice on Oct. 25.

🔼 Headed To The Hall of Fame. FAU men's golf head coach Adrien Mork will be inducted into the McNeese State Athletics Hall of Fame on Aug. 29. Mork was the Cowboys' scoring average leader and team MVP for four straight seasons from 2001-04, earning four-time All-American honors. He later competed professionally, winning five times on Europe's Challenge Tour and Alps Tour, and became the first player to shoot 59 in any European Tour event at the 2006 Morocco Classic.
🔼 Iron Owls. Meet your Iron Owls of the Year! FAU football recognized standouts from the weight room and conditioning all offseason long.

🔼 Making A Statement. Former Florida Atlantic golfer Guilherme Grinberg is on a roll! The Sao Paulo native captured the Brazilian Amateur Championship, his country's premier national amateur tournament, posting rounds of 66-66-67-66 to finish 23-under par and claim a commanding 10-shot victory. The win, his fourth amateur title in the last 13 months, vaulted Grinberg up 118 spots in the World Amateur Golf Rankings to No. 374. Grinberg recently wrapped up a five-year career at FAU, where he ranks third all-time in career scoring average and total birdies.

🔼 Sand Staff Addition. Florida Atlantic beach volleyball announced Chantel McMillan as the program's new assistant coach on Wednesday. McMillan arrives from North Florida, where she helped guide the Ospreys to a 21-14 record and a run to the ASUN Championship finals in 2026. A five-season beach volleyball player at North Florida herself, McMillan recorded 69 career wins and was named the 2023 ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

🔼 On Par. Tee it up for the Owls! Florida Atlantic golf hosts a four-person scramble fundraiser Sunday, Sept. 13, at Osprey Point Golf Club, with an 8 a.m. shotgun start, and all proceeds set to benefit the men's and women's programs. More info here.
