Good Morning, FAU Fam. Florida Atlantic Athletics has found its next leader! Josh McCowan was announced Friday as vice president and director of athletics, bringing more than 15 years of high-level collegiate athletics experience from stints at Mississippi State, Kansas State, and Colorado.

Named one of the Top 100 Future Athletics Directors by Silver Waves Media in 2026, McCowan led Mississippi State to its three highest fundraising years in school history, raising more than $173 million over that span. He'll be officially introduced next Friday at the Schmidt Family Athletics Complex for Academic and Athletic Excellence!
