The First Saturday in Paradise and Duffy's Sports Grill Fan Fest are tomorrow!

Good Morning, FAU Family. Florida Atlantic Athletics has announced plans for the First Saturday in Paradise and Duffy's Sports Grill Fan Fest. The event, which is free and open to the public, is set for tomorrow, Saturday, Aug.16, at Flagler Credit Union Stadium beginning at 5 p.m. ET.

The Saturday evening event includes activities outside the stadium in the Fan Zone, with stadium gates opening at 7 p.m., for events inside the stadium. A spectacular lighted drone show caps the night at approximately 8:45 p.m.

We’re counting down the days to the return of Florida Atlantic football on August 30 at Maryland! In honor of the countdown hitting a mere 15 days, we take a look at redshirt freshman and #15 Tyclean Luman. In his senior year of high school, Luman tallied 37 tackles, 11 tackles-for-loss, and 5.5 sacks. He helped his team to a 14-1 record and an FHSAA Class 2M state title game appearance in 2023.

🔼 One For All. The Florida Atlantic women's soccer team kicked off the 2025 season at the Flagler Credit Union Stadium, tying with Loyola Maryland in a 1-1 draw on Thursday evening.  

Making her fourth career start at goalkeeper, sophomore Ashley Small recorded two saves in the first 20 minutes.

🔼 Back in the Burrow. Florida Atlantic football celebrates its 25th season, while FAU Athletics hits another milestone with Inside the Owls' Burrow beginning its 10th season, showcasing all things FAU Athletics.

The weekly show's first installment will feature host Frank Forte talking one-on-one with first-year Hagerty Family Head Football Coach Zach Kittley. Fans will also get to know redshirt junior quarterback Caden Veltkamp in "Pads Off". They will have the opportunity for a behind-the-scenes look at the Owls' hard work during summer conditioning and a day when the load wasn't so hard via a video diary at nearby Rapids Water Park.


🔼 The One Where Coach Mac Goes to Italy. The gang is back together for Mac’s Musings to recap Coach Mac’s trip to Italy, summer ball, pro signings, movie review, and plenty more to catch up on as we put summer in our rearview and begin the 2025-26 school year.

🔼 Playing the Long Game. Florida Atlantic men's golf will compete in 11 events as part of the 2025-26 fall and spring schedule, leading up to the American Conference Championship in Bradenton, Fla., next April.

The fall portion of the schedule will include four events starting Sept. 8 with the Myrtle Beach Golf Trips Intercollegiate in South Carolina. The Owls will conclude the fall by hosting the second annual Florida Atlantic Invitational. The team will reconvene to begin the spring schedule on Feb. 2 at the Sea Best Invitational in Atlantic Beach, Fla.
