🔼 Opening Draw. Florida Atlantic women's soccer battled to a 1-1 draw with FIU in Wednesday's season opener at Howard Schnellenberger Field! Freshman forward Maiya Castillo broke the deadlock in the 75th minute, finishing a 1-on-1 breakaway off a Bella Burr assist, before the Panthers equalized on a header minutes later. The night was a showcase of new faces:" six Owls made their debut in the Starting XI, with seven more newcomers seeing minutes off the bench.

🔼 Texas Bound. Florida Atlantic men's basketball is headed to the Lone Star State! The Owls will compete in the inaugural Texas Legends College Classic, presented by Kia, playing Loyola Chicago on Friday, Dec. 18, and Colorado State on Sunday, Dec. 20.

🔼 Last Episode. The summer's final episode of Mac’s Musings is a good one! The show covers Kide Adetuyi joining the Boston Red Sox, Kyle Boylston landing with the Seattle Mariners, a potential new Hall of Fame honor for Coach Mac, updates on Owls in the pros, and the crew's favorite movies of the year so far. Don’t miss it!

🔼 Behind The Jersey. Today, FAU is bringing you Behind The Jersey with Liam Dayco-Green! Dayco-Green appeared in eight games last season during his sophomore campaign and recorded his first collegiate points against College of Charleston on November 8.

Owl fans, mark your calendars! The second annual Duffy's Sports Grill Fan Fest takes over Flagler Credit Union Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 22, and the free event has something for everyone. The Publix Paradise Plaza opens at 5 p.m. with a concert from the Mixtape Kids, a 90s tribute band, plus games, inflatables, giveaways, and student-athlete autograph sessions. Inside, catch performances from the FAU Marching Band, autographs with the football team on the Hyundai Deck, and a spectacular lighted drone show just after sunset to cap the night!

🔼 Graduation Celebration. Congratulations to Florida Atlantic's Summer 2026 graduates! Eighteen Owl student-athletes across softball, football, soccer, basketball, track and field, swimming and diving, baseball, cheer, and cross country earned their degrees.

Among them is softball ace Autumn Courtney, who capped a decorated career featuring two All-Conference first team nods, a unanimous Conference Pitcher of the Year award, and All-American honors.

🔼 New Assistant In. Florida Atlantic tennis announced Gerard Panelles Ripoll will join the Owls as a graduate assistant after a successful playing career in both the SEC and ACC. The Alicante, Spain, native compiled a 29-20 singles record in two years at Arkansas before going 23-17 across two seasons at Duke, where he earned All-ACC Academic Team, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District, and ITA Scholar-Athlete honors!
