🔼 Intro Week. It's a new chapter in Paradise! Vice President and Director of Athletics Josh McCowan was officially introduced Friday afternoon at the Owls Nest, with a capacity crowd of student-athletes, staff, coaches, donors, and community leaders on hand.

Joined by his wife Ashley, son Kacen, and daughter Kinsley, McCowan laid out his vision built on three guiding principles: total development of student-athletes, galvanizing the community around the Hometown Team, and winning championships.

"Together, we will educate leaders, unite this community, compete for championships, and build something that every member of the Owl family can be proud," McCowan said.

🔼 Paired Up. Florida Atlantic basketball knows its American Conference opponents for 2026-27! On the men's side, the Owls will host Memphis, Temple, and Wichita State in Boca Raton only, travel to East Carolina, Tulane, and UTSA, and play home-and-home series against Charlotte, North Texas, Rice, South Florida, Tulsa, and UAB in Head Coach John Jakus' third season.

The women's team will welcome Tulsa, UAB, and Wichita State as home-only opponents, hit the road for Charlotte, North Texas, and Rice, and face East Carolina, Memphis, Temple, Tulane, South Florida, and UTSA both home and away. Conference play for both squads begins Wednesday, Dec. 30, with complete schedules announced later this fall!

🔼 Groza Watch. Florida Atlantic's Collin Rogers is on the radar for kicking's top honor! The graduate kicker was named to the Lou Groza Collegiate Place-Kicker Award Watch List, one of 35 preseason honorees for the award's 35th edition. Rogers earns the recognition for the second time in his career.

🔼 Behind the Jersey. Another installment of Behind the Jersey is in with Eric McClellan. This episode features Zion Sampaio, a redshirt freshman out of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. During his high school days, Sampaio was a representative of the Brazilian national team.
