πŸ”Ό Bird’s Eye View. Florida Atlantic junior pitcher Todd Kniebbe has signed a professional contract with the Baltimore Orioles.

Kniebbe missed the 2025 season due to injury but has bounced back in a big way with the Keene Swamp Bats of the Northeast Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) this summer. The native of DeBary, Florida, boasts a 0.81 ERA, complemented by 23 strikeouts in 11 innings.

18 former Owls are now signed to active professional contracts. Since John McCormack took over head coaching duties in 2009, 110 players have signed contracts to continue their professional baseball careers.

The slate begins on August 21 with the home opener against Creighton. Omaha (August 24) and Jacksonville (August 28), then visit Paradise to round out a three-match homestand to start the season. The Owls will play eight American Conference matches.
