Seven Owls from the Florida Atlantic football team have found themselves on prominent preseason teams and watch lists.

Good Morning, FAU Family. With summer accolades beginning to roll in, seven Owls from the Florida Atlantic football team have found themselves on prominent preseason teams and watch lists.

The program's 25th season, its third in the AAC, will kick off under new head coach Zach Kittley on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Maryland on the Big Ten Network.

We’re counting down the days to the return of Florida Atlantic football on August 30 at Maryland! In 2022, the son of NFL Hall of Famer Warren Sapp, Warren Sapp II, wore the No. 68 as an inside linebacker for Florida Atlantic.

🔼 Across the Pond > > Paradise. Lucia Cassidy will join the Florida Atlantic women's tennis team this fall as the Owls begin preparation to surpass their historic season of 2024-25 with a No. 27 ranking, a 15-0 regular-season finish, and a first round win in the NCAA Tournament.

Cassidy will come to the Owls after building after having built a 792 ITF junior ranking. She’s captured 27 matches since 2023, primarily on a hard court. The Warwick, England native was a Grade 1 British Tournament finalist in December of 2024.

🔼 Team “Mortney” Strikes Again. Or maybe it’s Team Autiana? We’r still working out the details.

Two members of the Florida Atlantic softball team have been ranked in D1Softball's Top 100 players postseason list. Pitcher Autumn Courtney comes in at No. 47 and third baseman Jesiana Mora is ranked No. 100.

Courtney checks in as the highest ranked player from the American Athletic Conference. Her record of 24-4 gave the Owls more than half of their wins in their successful AAC regular season title defense. Mora was the AAC Defensive Player of the Year after recording a perfect fielding percentage during conference play. She earned an AAC Player of the Week and was named to the All-Conference Second Team.
