FAU sophomore pitcher Trey Beard has been invited to USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team Training Camp.

Good Morning, FAU Family. FAU sophomore pitcher Trey Beard has been invited to USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team Training Camp. The team will feature 56 of the premier non-draft eligible players for a five-game 'Stars vs. Stripes' intrasquad series in North Carolina from June 29-July 3. USA Baseball will name the final Collegiate National Team following training camp on July 3.

The first game will be held at Atrium Health Ballpark in Kannapolis, N.C., at 5:35 p.m. ET on June 29. The series finale on July 3 will be hosted at Segra Stadium in Fayetteville, N.C., at 6:35 p.m. ET.

🔼 Freeland Era F.O.M.O. Is Real. Entering their first year under head coach LeAnn Freeland, the Owls are gearing up for an exciting 2025-26 season in the Elly, and you don’t want to miss on your opportunity to get season tickets.

The Owls return three-time AAC Freshman of the Week Erin Rodgers, Ta'Ziah Jenks, and Zahira Arizmendi, in addition to welcoming newcomers Grace Carstensen, Madi Gewirtz, Destyne Jackson, Jess Moors, Vivian Onugha, IneiviPlata, and Haley Walker.

🔼 Hoop Hosts. The AAC directors of athletics have approved the venues and host cities for the American Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships for the next three seasons.

The 2026 Championships will be held at Legacy Arena at the BJCC in Birmingham, Alabama. The 2027 and 2028 championships will be held at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida. Both venues will host the American championships for the first time.

🔼 Penta-Perfection. Five members of the 2025 FAU softball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. The accolade recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

Ainsley Lambert, Kiley Channell, Kylie Hammonds, Gabby Sacco, and Kiley Shelton have received the prestigious nod for their strong performances on the diamond and in the classroom.
