The FAU Owls are marking the silver anniversary season for the football program born from the vision of the late Howard Schnellenberger.
Good Morning, FAU Family. The Florida Atlantic Owls are celebrating their 25th football season in 2025, marking the silver anniversary season for the football program born from the vision of the late Howard Schnellenberger.
To commemorate the milestone, FAU has released a 25th anniversary logo that will be used throughout the year, announced plans for a season-long content campaign and unveiled special gameday promotions and events once the season kicks off in August.
While anniversary events and moments will be recognized all season, the game on Saturday, Oct. 11 versus UAB serves as the official 25th Anniversary celebration weekend.

A Sometime SwampBat. Florida Atlantic baseball’s Marshall Lipsey is sure making the most of his time with the Keene SwampBats!
When the SwampBats welcomed Lipsey to the team, they had this to say on Instagram:
“From @faubaseball, welcome @marshall_lipsey to the Bats! The Texas native has put up video game numbers this spring as he hit .318/.488/.573 with 12 HR and 43 RBI as the everyday CF and leadoff man for the Owls. He transferred to FAU from Blinn JC where he won a NJCAA DI National Championship in 2024!”
