🔼 Marathon Baseball + One Huge Milestone. The Florida Atlantic baseball team won the first two games of its three-game series against Tulane on Saturday in New Orleans. A long day at the ballpark included the last four innings of a 16-12 victory that began on Friday but was suspended until Saturday due to weather. The Owls (31-15, 12-8) then rallied from a six-run deficit to knock off the Green Wave (27-20, 10-10) in the nightcap by a 10-8 final.

Unfortunately, the 6-4 Sunday game went to the home team.

In Saturday’s game where he also recorded his first career save, Trey Beard became the first Owls pitcher since Austin Gomber in 2013 to record 100 Ks in a season! 👇🏼

🔼 Heads Held High. The No. 27 Florida Atlantic women's tennis team was defeated 4-0 by host No. 8 Duke in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday evening. Owl seniors Millie-Mae Matthews and Lexi Silna guided the program to a 17-2 record and a semifinal appearance in the AAC Championship.

The Owls celebrated a season of high achievement, including finishing the regular season with an undefeated record, the only FAU program to do so and the only women's tennis program in the nation to do so.

🔼 Running Away With It. The Florida Atlantic women's track & field team completed day two of the East Coast Relays, hosted by the University of North Florida, on Saturday afternoon.

Rosa ten Berg finished within the top 15 with a 2:09.25 on the day. Sofia Molina was the second Owl to finish in the 800-meter. She recorded a 2:13.09 to conclude the meet for FAU.

🔼 Owl Be Back. No. 13 Florida Atlantic beach volleyball's season came to a close on Friday, as the Sandy Owls fell 3-0 to No. 4 LMU in the opening round of the NCAA Championship.

The CUSA champion Sandy Owls were making the program's third all-time appearance in the NCAA Championship, with each of the three coming in the last four seasons. FAU ends its campaign 21-15 overall.

🔼 Whole Lotta Hoopla. FAU head WBB coach LeAnn Freeland has completed her inaugural FAU coaching staff by naming Brooklyn Kohlheim as an associate head coach, and Manisha Redus, McKenah Peters, and Alison Hughes joining the program as assistant coaches.

🗣 "With a vast amount of coaching experience, we are confident we will build FAU women's basketball the right way. Our goal will be to inspire our players to adopt a growth mindset and push out of their comfort zones every day to maximize their potential.” - Coach Freeland

🤓 The FAU softball team’s big win marked the first back-to-back win of a regular season title since what sport did so in 2018 and 2019?

The Answer: Women’s Soccer!

Under third-year head coach Jordan Clark, Florida Atlantic's softball program won the school's first AAC title in any sport with last year's regular season title. It also marks FAU's first back-to-back regular season titles in any sport since women's soccer in 2018 and 2019 (CUSA). The regular season crown is the softball's program's 13th  all-time, which leads all Owl sports.

🦉 Have a spectacular week, Owl Fam!
