Good Morning, FAU Fam. Florida Atlantic took its fourth consecutive series with a two-of-three showing at South Florida, highlighted by Saturday's dramatic 6-5 win. With the game tied 3-3 in the ninth, pinch-hitter Xavier Moronta jumped on the first pitch he saw and crushed his first homer as an Owl, a two-run shot over the right-field wall that put FAU ahead for good.

The Owls are back at it tomorrow against UCF at 6:30 p.m.

🔼 Series Win. Florida Atlantic took the UAB series two games to one despite dropping Saturday's regular-season finale 5-3. A grand slam in the second inning put the Owls in a 4-0 hole, but Madison Inscoe settled things down with two scoreless innings of relief, and Kylie Hammonds delivered a two-RBI single in the seventh to make it close. The bigger story was the fanbase; FAU set a single-series home attendance record across the three games. Ten seniors were honored after the game as the Owls head to the American Conference Tournament in Greenville, N.C., as the fourth seed.

🔼 Record Run. Teegan Anderson rewrote the Florida Atlantic record book in the 1,500 meters on day one of the East Coast Relays in Jacksonville, clocking a 4:23.61 to finish in the top five and move into a tie for the fastest time in the American Conference this season. Rosa ten Berg finished in fourth place in the 800 meters at 2:08.46. The Owls now turn their attention to the American Conference Outdoor Championships in Denton from May 13-16.

🔼 Sandy Owl Honor. Florida Atlantic beach volleyball hauled in six CUSA postseason awards, headlined by freshman Ava Koehl earning Freshman of the Year after picking up ranked wins over No. 6 TCU, No. 7 Florida State, and No. 16 North Florida. The court-one duo of Denisse Morgenstern and Shantel Starling both earned First Team All-Conference after going a combined 18-16 as a pair, while senior Klaire VanDeusen grabbed Second Team honors with a team-best 21-16 record that included a win over No. 1 UCLA. Koehl and fellow freshman Allison Spittal rounded things out on the All-Freshman Team.

🔼 Tee Off. Florida Atlantic's Carolin Alblas will represent the Owls at the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship, teeing off today at The Park Golf Course in West Palm Beach. The graduate senior from Germany, is one of 15 competitors in the women's individual division at the 54-hole event, which has served as the most culturally significant championship in collegiate golf since its founding in 1986. Alblas made eight starts for FAU this season with a best finish of tied for 28th.

🔼 Home Course. Florida Atlantic's NaShawn Tyson tees it up today at the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship at The Park Golf Course in West Palm Beach. The Stuart native is one of 15 in the men's individual division at the 54-hole event, bringing 11 starts and three top-20 finishes this season. Tyson earned an at-large NCAA Regional bid last year and led the Owls with 93 birdies in 2025-26.
