🔼 Soccer, From A to Z. Coming to America to play collegiate soccer was not always a part of the plan for Sebastian Zettl, 2024 captain of the Florida Atlantic men's soccer team. After feeling stuck in his development at home in Austria and left wondering how to improve his game, a friend of Zettl's started an agency. Zettl signed up, not sure what would come of it. Then came the chance to go to Florida Atlantic University.

"Coming to America was the best decision of my life," said Zettl.

Zettl may be far from home, but he found another family at Florida Atlantic: his team.

The junior midfielder has one main goal in mind for his team:

"I want to help put FAU on the map," said Zettl.

🦉 ONE BIG THING

It’s a Family Affair. Kiley Shelton, a sophomore on Florida Atlantic's softball team, stepped up to the plate and rose to the occasion at the Gainesville Regional. 

The sophomore delivered multiple clutch hits, including the walk-off RBI single in extra innings against Georgia Tech, to give the No. 2-seeded Owls (45-12) their first victory in an NCAA Regional game since 2016. 

Her heroic performance came on the very same campus that her brother, Colby, currently resides as the starting shortstop for the nationally ranked Florida Gators baseball team. Rounding out the Shelton siblings is their sister Karley, who leads the No. 12 South Carolina softball team in hits as they enter the weekend hosting a Super Regional.

ICYMI! FAU WBB coach LeAnn Freeland announced on Friday that Jada Moore is staying in Paradise, rejoining the team as a graduate assistant.
 
Prior to arriving in Boca Raton, Moore played in 49 contests across two seasons at Kansas State. With the Wildcats, Moore recorded 120 points, 103 rebounds, 61 assists, and 20 steals. She was also named a 2022 Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree and was a two-time Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll member.
