The Owls are the only program in the nation returning their complete coaching staff and starting quarterback in redshirt senior Caden Veltkamp, who ranked No. 1 nationally in completions and No. 3 in passing yards per game last season. His top target, Easton Messer, led the country with 8.67 receptions per game. The defense reloads around leading tackler Leon Hart Jr. and sack leader CJ Doggette Jr., bolstered by key transfers Jonathan Bax (TCU), Jay Crable (Ohio), and Joseph Sipp Jr. (Kansas).
