Good Morning, FAU Fam. Four-time Olympian and two-time Olympic medalist Brittany Bowe returned to Florida Atlantic to deliver the 2026 commencement address and receive the President's Distinguished Service Medallion, FAU's highest honor and a first for a former student-athlete.

Bowe played four years of women's basketball for the Owls from 2006-10, scoring 1,062 career points before pivoting from the hardwood to the ice to become one of the most accomplished American long-track speed skaters in history. She holds the world record in the 1,000 meters, has won six world championships, and earned Olympic bronze medals at the 2018 and 2022 Winter Games. Bowe addressed FAU's largest graduating class ever, with more than 4,300 students earning degrees across eight ceremonies.

🔼 Series Winners. Florida Atlantic baseball took the series over Wichita State despite dropping the finale 4-1. The Owls managed seven hits, with Kyle Boylston accounting for two of them and driving in the lone FAU run with a fifth-inning double. The Owls head back to Fort Myers for a midweek matchup with Florida Gulf Coast tomorrow at 3 p.m.

🔼 Classroom Excellence. Florida Atlantic matched its department-record APR of 990 for the third time in six years, with 11 teams posting perfect 1,000 scores for 2024-25, including baseball, softball, both basketball programs, both swimming and diving teams, men's tennis, women's cross country, women's golf, women's track, and volleyball. The Owls' department-wide mark falls right in line with the Division I national average and matches the American Conference average.
