Good Morning, Owl Family. Florida Atlantic Athletics gathers each spring to celebrate team and department successes at an event known to student-athletes as the Owlspys. The 2025 edition was held on Monday night at the Boca Raton campus' Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium.
 
The FAU student-athlete advisory committee, SAAC, organized, produced and hosted the 11th annual event tabbed "A Night in Paradise" during which nearly 100 student-athletes, teams or staff members were recognized.

🔼 Charlotte’s Web … Of Wins. By way of her third-place finish at last week's AAC Championship, Florida Atlantic sophomore women's golfer Charlotte Perkins has earned her place on the all-conference team.
 
Perkins played in all nine events between the fall and spring and led the Owls with a 74.69 scoring average. The highlight of the season came at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invite in Georgia in February, where Perkins emerged with her first collegiate victory. The AAC selection will send Perkins into the off-season with her first post-season recognition.

🔼 Important Hoop Scoop. Florida Atlantic Athletics has announced information on the upcoming 2025-26 men's and women's basketball season ticket processes. The deadline for men's season ticket holders to renew their season tickets is Friday, June 13.

The support from season ticket holders has helped the Owls maintain one of the best home-court advantages in the nation, with 35 consecutive regular-season men's sellouts over the last three seasons.

🔼 A Pair Made in Paradise. Florida Atlantic beach volleyball's pair of Kate McLaughlin and Julie Honzovicova, who finished a perfect 4-0 at the NOLA Classic, were named the Conference USA Pair of the Week. The honor marks the fifth for the Sandy Owls—who start postseason play tomorrow—this season. It also marks the first career weekly honor for McLaughlin and the third for Honzovicova.
 
The pair recorded four straight-set wins at the No. 2 position, improving to an impressive 9-2 as a pair this season. On Friday, Honzovicova and McLaughlin earned two straight-set sweeps over Tulane, 22-20, 21-17, and McNeese, 21-14, 21-12. On Saturday, the duo closed out the weekend with another pair of back-to-back sweeps against San Jose State, 21-18, 21-15, and Tarleton State, 21-15, 21-8.

🔼 Gagliardi Gunning For It. Florida Atlantic men's golf is in fourth place after 36 holes at the AAC Championship. Freshman Biagio Gagliardi posted a second consecutive 68 (-4) on Tuesday and is two shots off the individual lead entering the final round. Live coverage of the back nine on Wednesday will begin at 11 a.m. on ESPN+.

Gagliardi stormed out of the gates on Tuesday with birdies on four of his first six holes. He played the front nine in 32 to take the lead for the first time. After two more birdies at the 11th and 12th holes, the lead ballooned to three shots. Despite bogeys at 16 and 17, Gagliardi is still -8 for the tournament, two shots behind USF's Wilhelm Ryding.

🔼 More Beard On the Bump Props. Florida Atlantic sophomore Trey Beard has been named AAC Pitcher of the Week for the first time in his career. Junior outfielder Marshall Lipsey was named a weekly honorable mention.
 
Beard has been a weekly honorable mention on four occasions this season. The Owls' ace earned top honors after another dominant outing in Thursday's 9-2 win versus Wichita State. Beard allowed one run on five hits in six innings. He struck out seven to bring his season total to 92.
 
Lipsey finished the week 6-for-14 at the plate with a home run, two doubles, and a triple.

🔼 The Mora-Courtney Show Continues. After its fourth series sweep of the season, the No. 25 Florida Atlantic softball team earned a pair of weekly honorable mentions from the AAC, with junior pitcher Autumn Courtney and junior third baseman Jesiana Mora receiving the nods. This marks Courtney's sixth conference honor, with a league-high four Pitcher of the Week awards. This is Mora's third conference accolade and second honorable mention of the season.
 
Courtney pitched two complete game victories, 14 total innings, in the Owls' (38-9, 17-4) sweep over East Carolina and tossed 14 strikeouts to just three runs and six hits allowed. Mora was a spark in the Owls' lineup, recording a hit in all three games and batting 6-for-14 over the course of the weekend.

2️⃣5️⃣: The Florida Atlantic softball team is in the national rankings after coming in at No. 25 in both the Softball America and D1Softball polls.

Florida Atlantic Athletics has announced the dates for its yearly Hometown Team Tour, and the first stop on the tour is TONIGHT at 6 p.m. ET!
