Florida Atlantic baseball (19-20) hosts Miami (29-11) tonight for the final meeting of the season, with first pitch at 6:35 p.m. on ESPN+. The Owls come in hot off back-to-back series wins, with Ian Collier hitting .486 over the last 10 games and Nick Romano driving in nine runs against Tulane last weekend, including a career-high seven on Friday.

🔼 Conference Standout. Florida Atlantic senior catcher Chloe Yeatts earned American Conference weekly honorable mention honors after reaching base nine times in 11 plate appearances last week, highlighted by a career-high five RBI and two home runs in Saturday's 9-3 win over Tulsa. It's her third career conference honor and first of the season. Yeatts sits second on the team with seven home runs and 30 RBI. FAU heads to Memphis for a three-game series April 24-26, all on ESPN+.

🔼 Martinez Turns Heads. Florida Atlantic redshirt sophomore John Martinez earned his second American Conference weekly honorable mention of the season after going 7-for-16 with two homers, two doubles, five runs, and a .938 slugging percentage across four games last week. On the season, Martinez leads the Owls in RBI (29), doubles (10), multi-hit games (18), and multi-RBI games (10). FAU hosts Miami tonight at 6:35 p.m. on ESPN+.

🔼 Fresh Impact. Florida Atlantic beach volleyball freshman Ava Koehl has been named a 2025-26 NSCA All-American. Koehl has put together a standout debut season with a 17-14 record, including wins over ranked opponents No. 6 TCU and No. 7 Florida State, and earned Conference USA Pair of the Week honors in March. The Sandy Owls enter the Conference USA Championship this week as the No. 1 seed.

🔼 Perfect Weekend. And speaking of beach volleyball, Florida Atlantic's top pair of Denisse Morgenstern and Shantel Starling earned Conference USA Co-Pair of the Week honors after going a perfect 4-0 at the Alki Beach Invitational, including wins over No. 19 Washington and Boise State. It's the fourth weekly honor for the Sandy Owls this season and the first career recognition for both players.

🔼 Hometown Team Tour. Florida Atlantic Athletics is bringing its annual Hometown Team Tour to South Florida fans with three stops featuring Q&As, giveaways, merchandise, and meet-and-greets with head coaches including football's Zach Kittley and AD Brian White. The tour kicked off yesterday at The Cove Brewery in Deerfield Beach, continues April 28 at Johnnie Brown's in Delray Beach, and wraps up May 13 at Miller's Ale House in Coral Springs, all from 5:30–7 p.m. RSVP at fausports.com.

🔼 Welcome to Paradise. Florida Atlantic women's basketball announced two new additions to the squad. The Owls signed Lake Worth native Janiah Suprius, a sophomore guard transferring from Palm Beach State College. In her lone NJCAA season, Suprius was virtually unstoppable, averaging 26 points per game (second in the nation at the NJCAA DII level), 8.4 rebounds, 5.9 assists, and 2.1 steals while shooting 52.2 percent from the field. She earned NJCAA Second Team All-American and FCSAA DII Player of the Year honors, posted double-figures in all 28 games, and helped lead Palm Beach State to its fourth straight Region 8 Championship.

The Owls also signed junior guard Manuela Piljevic, a native of Australia, who transfers from Dodge City Community College after earning 2026 KJCCC Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-Conference honors. Piljevic averaged 13.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three, scoring in double figures 26 times and posting a career-high 32 points in a single game. She also represented Serbia's U20 national team in FIBA EuroBasket competition in 2024 and 2025.
