FAU Vice President and Director of Athletics Brian White sat down with Inside South Florida at the football stadium to discuss the program's growth beyond the scoreboard, the university's transition to the American Conference, and what fans can expect from the Owls in 2026 football. 🔼 On Deck. FAU softball (19-7, 2-1) welcomes East Carolina (17-9, 2-1) to Joan Joyce Field for a three-game series starting tonight at 6 p.m. (all on ESPN+). FAU is a perfect 12-0 at home, matching the best home start in program history. Sophomore Lily Holtje continues to mash at a .448 clip with 10 doubles, 25 RBI, and an 18-game on-base streak, while Kylie Hammonds leads the AAC with seven homers and 29 runs scored. Senior Yani Guzman is hitting .432 with hits in 12 of her last 13. The pitching staff is loaded: All-American Autumn Courtney leads with 53 Ks, closer Ainsley Lambert's four saves lead the conference with an opposing batting average of just .193, and a trio of freshmen (Lee, Durkin, Byrd) have combined for just 14 earned runs in 41 innings. FAU leads the conference in batting average, runs, RBI, strikeouts thrown, and fielding percentage.

🔼 Break Out the Brooms. FAU baseball rolled past Presbyterian 7-2 on Wednesday to complete a two-game midweek sweep and extend their winning streak to five. Marshall Lipsey drove in three runs, highlighted by a two-run homer to right in the sixth, while TJ Gramesty added an RBI double and two hits. Xavier Moronta reached base four times. The defense turned a pair of unconventional double plays, including Lipsey gunning down a runner at third from centerfield. Six FAU pitchers combined to keep the Blue Hose in check, led by freshman Brody Juntunen earning the win in his first career start.

🔼 Inside the Owls’ Burrow. The 10th season of FAU's "Inside the Owls' Burrow" rolls on with Episode 25, which re-airs Saturday, March 14 at 11:30 a.m. on FanDuel Sports Florida. This week's show spotlights men's basketball shot-blocking standout Devin Williams on "Inside of the Paint," while football wide receivers Easton Messer and Dominique Henry preview spring practice expectations after career-best 2025 campaigns. The episode also checks in on volleyball's deep spring roster (including incoming transfers after a 19-10 season) and softball's Florida-grown impact transfers: shortstop McKenna "JoJo" Muholland and catcher Lily Holtje.

🔼 Dove In. Five Owl divers competed across multiple events at the Zone B Diving Championships at Georgia, capping a strong season under fourth-year diving coach Alik Sarkisian. Trevor Kuhn was FAU's highest finisher, earning a top-20 placement on the platform (280.20). Rocco Simonelli posted 310.25 on 3m and competed in all three men's events. On the women's side, Grace Powell (246.80 on 3m) and Augusta Ness (228.15 on 3m, 202.10 on 1m) both competed in multiple events. The diving program earned five medals (two gold) at the ASUN Championships this season. Up next, select swimmers head to the CSCAA National Invitational Championships in Ocala (March 12-14), and Daniel Laureyssens represents FAU at the NCAA Men's Championships (March 25-28) in the 50 and 200 free.
