🔼 Walk Off. FAU softball opened the Joan Joyce Classic last night with a 6-5 walk-off win over Kansas! Autumn Courtney picked up the win for the Owls, who scored two in the bottom of the seventh to secure the victory. Watch the moment Destiny Johns drove in the game-winning runs.

🔼 Road Win. FAU men’s basketball (15-12, 7-7) snapped a six-game skid with a 60-52 win at UTSA on Wednesday, holding the Roadrunners to a season-low shooting night (30.8%). Freshman Josiah Parker continued his tear with 16 points and 13 rebounds to log another double-double. Devin Williams was a force inside with 8 points, a career-high 11 boards, and 7 blocks (one shy of the program record). FAU stays in Texas to face North Texas Sunday (4 p.m. ET, ESPNU).

🔼 Dynamic Duo. FAU men’s tennis’ duo of Mark Havlicek and Marek Pazdera debuted at No. 82 in the ITA national doubles rankings this week. The pair is a perfect 3-0 on the top court and has been a key reason FAU (3-2) has locked down the doubles point this season. Havlicek is also rolling in singles at 4-1 overall, including 3-0 on court No. 1.

🔼 On the Diamond. The Owls (2-2) host Iowa this weekend in the first-ever meeting between the programs. FAU squared its record with a 4-2 win over Missouri on Tuesday, sparked by Nick Romano's go-ahead two-run homer in the seventh. Newcomers Michael Perazza, Brett Patten, and Ian Collier are a combined 13-for-33 with six extra-base hits through four games. On the mound, James Litman set a career-high with 9 strikeouts in four innings against Notre Dame. Today’s first pitch is at 6:35 p.m. ET, streaming on FAUSports.com.

🔼 Conference Stars. The Sandy Owls open their 2026 season this weekend at the Beach Burrow Bash in Boca Raton, and they'll do it with two CUSA Preseason Team selections. Senior Kendall Mignerey earned the nod after a first-team all-conference season that included the championship-clinching win at the CUSA Tournament. Transfer Denisse Morgenstern arrives from Coastal Carolina by way of international competition for Team Paraguay, where she won gold at the Bolivarian Games and bronze at the Junior Pan American Games. FAU faces Coastal Carolina and Boise State on Friday, then Palm Beach Atlantic and FIU on Saturday.

🔼 Busy Days. Buckle up! FAU women’s tennis (3-3) has 10 matches packed into the next 36 days, starting today at UCF (6 p.m.). Doubles has been FAU's calling card so far, with the team dropping the doubles point just once all season. The No. 1 duo of Lara Smejkal and Malwina Rowinska is 4-1, while Panna Bartha and Katrin Pavkova are a stellar 5-1 at No. 2. Up next after UCF: a home date with Princeton on Sunday, the programs' first meeting since 2018.

🔼 At Home. FAU men’s tennis (3-2) is back at the Strauss Tennis Center this afternoon after nearly a month away, hosting FGCU at 1 p.m.. FAU owns the all-time series 13-4, though the Eagles took the last meeting 6-1 back in 2024. Junior Mark Havlicek leads the charge at 4-1 this season, including 3-0 on the top court, and is unbeaten in doubles alongside Marek Pazdera at 3-0. Sophomore Segundo Goity Zapico also sits at 4-1 overall with a spotless 3-0 mark on court No. 2. Next up after Friday: a trip to Orlando to face UCF on Feb. 26.
