New head football coach Zach Kittley ushered in 17 talented athletes on Early Signing Day.

Good morning, Owls Family. Florida Atlantic Football welcomed a signing class of 17 freshmen as part of the 2025 Early National Signing Day on Wednesday. The incoming class includes 15 from the state of Florida and eight hailing from the Tri-County area.
 
Incoming head football coach Zach Kittley can now focus on building his 2025 staff and roster.

🔼 Panthers All Growl. The FAU MBB team took down FIU in an 88-77 victory on Wednesday evening.
 
The offense was led by a season-high 59 points off the bench. Redshirt junior forward Tre Carroll and junior forward Kaleb Glenn became the first pair of the season to score 20 points, Carroll with a career-high.

Florida Atlantic returns to the Elly to take on Jacksonville (4-4) on Tuesday, Dec. 10, in the third annual Boca Raton MegaBowl, airing on ESPN+. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.

- Anderson's impressive rookie season continued with the first start of his NFL career. On primetime Sunday Night Football, Anderson was in on a career-high 57% of the team's defensive snaps. He matched his mark from the previous game with four tackles and added a quarterback hit in San Francisco's 35-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

🔼 More Hoop Scoop. The Florida Atlantic Coaches Show continues the 2024-25 schedule on Wednesday, Dec.11, from 6-7 p.m. ET at the Duffy's Sports Grill in Boca Raton. The show then moves to Tuesdays from 6-7 p.m., with guests announced each week. You can listen to the show live on FOX Sports 640 South Florida.

Men's Basketball Head Coach John Jakus and Women's Basketball Head Coach Jennifer Sullivan, along with Vice President and Director of Athletics Brian White, join host and voice of the Owls Ken LaVicka to discuss the start of the 2024-25 hoops season.

🔼 Her Speed Knows No Bounds. ICYMI! Freshman Constance Pittet of the Florida Atlantic women's cross country team will compete in the 30th SPAR European Cross Country Championships this Sunday, Dec. 8, in Antalya, Turkey.

Pittet had a stellar freshman campaign, being named to the 2024 American Athletic Conference All-Conference team. After nearly 14 years, she set a new program record, now holding the best 5K time in school history with a time of 17:32.9. Another record was set at the 2024 AAC Championships as she made her mark in the 6K, now No. 2 in program history.


🔼 Play Ball. Florida Atlantic baseball has announced a 55-game schedule for the 2025 regular season, including 33 at home. The upcoming campaign will mark the Owls' second as a member of the American Athletic Conference. Head Coach John McCormack will enter his 17th season at the helm. The Owls will play 10 of their first 11 games at the FAU Baseball Stadium, starting with the home opener on February 14 against Delaware.

🔼 We’re Deep in the Burrow. Episode 17 of Florida Atlantic's Inside the Owls' Burrow airs today at 4:30 p.m. ET and again on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 11:30 a.m. Inside the Owls' Burrow is also available on fausports.com and YouTube.

The attention of this week's show is all hoops. Host Frank Forte talks one-on-one with Head Men's Basketball Coach John Jackus, while junior guard Leland Walker is mic'd up at practice. Kittley brings 12 years of Division I coaching experience, beginning as a student assistant and graduate assistant coach at Texas Tech from 2013 to 2017. His first full-time coaching appointment came at age 26 when he was named offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Houston Christian from 2018 to 2020.

Kittley has been the architect of the prolific offenses at each of his stops while coaching the likes of future NFL signal-callers Patrick Mahomes II, Bailey Zappe, and Davis Webb.
