🔼 Holiday Classic. FAU women’s hoops picked up a win over FIU to close out non-conference play and finish the FIU Holiday Classic on Saturday afternoon. The Owls, who are now 6-6 on the season, were led by Haley Walker, who scored a career-best 19 points while shooting 70 percent from the field. Michiyah Simmons and Zahira Arizmendi also contributed 10 points apiece.

The Owls will break for Christmas before returning on Tuesday, Dec. 30, to take on North Texas to open American Conference play. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN+ at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.

🔼 Having Fun. FAU men’s and women’s swimming and diving hosted the annual FAU Fun Invite on Saturday, squaring off against Old Dominion and Rice. Check out the full recap from the invite here.

Honoring Our Heroes at Paradise

FAU Football proudly hosted its annual Military and First Responders Appreciation Game on November 6, celebrating those who serve and protect our communities. In honor of Boca Raton’s 100th anniversary, local South Florida partner and most trusted name in smart home security, ADT, presented two $15,000 donations to the Boca Police Foundation and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department during an on-field ceremony. Representing ADT was Rich Sarria, a former Boca Raton Police Sergeant and FAU alumnus, adding a personal touch to the occasion. FAU is proud to partner with organizations like ADT to recognize our military, veterans, and first responders - true heroes of Paradise.
