🔼 Holiday Classic. FAU women’s basketball will close out the non-conference slate at the FIU Holiday Classic this weekend. The Owls will play today at 1:30 p.m. against UMass, then square off against FIU on Saturday at 11 a.m. Both games will air on ESPN+. Full preview here.

🔼 In Class. Three FAU volleyball players earned 2025 CSC Academic All-District honors. Olivia Hart, Victoria Hensley, and Kayla Richardson were all recognized for their combined performance on the court and in the classroom.

🔼 Inside The Owls’ Burrow. Inside The Owls’ Burrow will continue to feature men’s and women’s hoops during the semester break, and the latest episode is here! This week’s episode features freshman guard Amar Amkou, a Senegal native, who arrived in Boca Raton courtesy of the NBA’s Africa Academy. The show also features assistant coach Aaron Smith as he’s “Wired for Sound” and profiles Michiyah Simmons and assistant coach McKenah Peters as part of its “In the Paint” segment. Don’t miss it!

🔼 Owls in the NFL. Three Owls were active in Week 15 of the NFL, including standout defensive back Azeez Al-Shaair and tight end Harrison Bryant with the Houston Texans. The Texans notched their sixth straight win, with Al-Shaair leading the defense with 12 tackles and Bryant returning from injured reserve. The Texans will take on Las Vegas on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. Devin Singletary rushed five times for 13 yards for the Giants, who are set to take on Minnesota on Sunday at 1 p.m.

Honoring Our Heroes at Paradise

FAU Football proudly hosted its annual Military and First Responders Appreciation Game on November 6, celebrating those who serve and protect our communities. In honor of Boca Raton’s 100th anniversary, local South Florida partner and most trusted name in smart home security, ADT, presented two $15,000 donations to the Boca Police Foundation and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department during an on-field ceremony. Representing ADT was Rich Sarria, a former Boca Raton Police Sergeant and FAU alumnus, adding a personal touch to the occasion. FAU is proud to partner with organizations like ADT to recognize our military, veterans, and first responders - true heroes of Paradise.
