🔼 Mega Bowl. Seven Owls scored in double figures as FAU dominated Saint Leo, 112-55, on Wednesday night to earn the 12-foot Boca Raton Mega Bowl trophy! For the second game in a row, an FAU freshman tallied a career best: Yohann Sissoko recorded 20 points for the Owls, and Amar Amkou logged his first collegiate double-double. All 12 Owls who saw time in the game found the scoresheet. The Owls will be back at it on Saturday, Dec. 13 at noon on ESPN+ against Albany.

🔼 Best In Region. Mamadou Diarra and Fabrizio Cubeddu landed on the United Soccer Coaches Association All-Region teams! Diarra earned First Team East Region honors, while Cubeddu was honored on the third team. Diarra led the Owls with nine goals, 25 points, and earned American Conference Offensive Player of the Year for the second straight season. Cubeddu started every game for FAU. The duo became the first Owls to earn All-Region honors since 2021.

🔼 Back At It. FAU women’s hoops will be back on the court today and Monday to close out its nonconference slate. The Owls take on Florida Gulf Coast this morning at 11 a.m, and then will welcome FIU on Monday at 7 p.m. Both games will air live on ESPN+. Full preview here. 

🔼 Owls In The NFL. Week 14 is in the books in the NFL, and two former Owls took the gridiron and delivered stellar performances. Azeez Al-Shaair delivered the game-sealing interception as Houston defeated Kansas City in primetime last week and earned one of NBC’s Sunday Night Football Player of the Game nods. Cornerback James Pierre recorded his first pick of the season against Lamar Jackson as the Steelers defeated the Ravens on Sunday afternoon.
