🔼 Season Opened. FAU women’s basketball started its new season in style last night with an 89-46 win over Florida Memorial to give Head Coach LeAnn Freeland her first win with the Owls. Vivian Onugha led the way for the Owls with 24 points on 8-of-10 shooting, while Haley Walker posted a team-high 14 rebounds.

🔼 Out Of The Bye. FAU football is off the bye and ready to take on Tusla on Saturday at home. As the team gears up for the final stretch of the regular season, they’ll face three of their last four opponents at Flagler Credit Union Stadium.

🔼 Mark Your Calendars. Kickoff is set for FAU’s Saturday, Nov. 15 contest against Tulane. The game will get underway at 4 p.m. and air on ESPN+. It marks the first time that Florida Atlantic has played at Tulane.

🔼 Weekly Winner. FAU men’s soccer’s Sebastian Zettl earned the final American Conference Weekly Honor Mention of the regular season. Zettl delivered the free kick that Aboubacar Traore buried in the back of the net to even last week’s game against USF at 3-3, then won the game with a goal in the final 15 seconds of the match. FAU will face either USF or Tulsa in the American Conference semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 3:30 p.m. in Charlotte.

🔼 Inside The Owls’ Burrow. Episode 13 of Inside the Owls’ Burrow drops tomorrow at the new time of 3 p.m. on FanDuel Sports Network Florida. This week’s episode features Frank Forte with Hagerty Family Head Coach Zach Kittley, a breakdown of redshirt junior WR Jayshon Platt’s performance so far, redshirt junior S Jayden Sweeney going “Pads Off,” and Cornerbacks Coach Antonio Fenelus talks about coming home to Boca Raton.

🔼 In Class. Men’s swimming and diving’s Payne Smith and women’s basketball’s Vivian Onugha earned the Prestige Windows & Doors Student-Athletes of the Month honors for October! The award is given each month to a male and female student-athlete to recognize outstanding performance in the classroom.
