🔼 A Hard Day’s Knight. Florida Atlantic's men's basketball team faced the Knights for their first road matchup of the 2024-25 season, falling 100-94. The Owls moved to 2-1 after a back-and-forth game in which the team shot 41% from three-point range and boasted five double-digit scorers for the third game in a row.

Onward and upward! Florida Atlantic will head to Charleston, South Carolina, to play in the Field of 68 Tip-Off for the second consecutive year. The first game of the round-robin is against Charleston on Friday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. ET.

🔼 Rodgers That. Florida Atlantic WBB freshman guard Erin Rodgers was named the American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Week. The honor marks the first weekly honor for the Owls this season and the first career accolade for Rodgers.

Rodgers had a great debut for the Owls, finishing the week with a team third-best 20 points, averaging 10 points per contest, shooting 35 percent (6-of-17) from the field, 50 percent (1-of-2) from beyond the arc, and 88 percent (7-of-8) from the line, in addition to adding ten rebounds, averaging five per contest, five steals, and an assist.

🔼 Owl Be On the Road. FAU MBB head coach John Jakus met with the media on Monday to discuss the Owls' upcoming 15-day road trip.

“It’s a big opportunity to play three games in one week and all [against] really good opponents,” Jakus said. “We will be on the road for about 14 days. I haven't experienced it before in my career, but we are just treating it like an NBA road trip…”

"I don't want who starts to impact how they view themselves or the confidence they have when they shoot the basketball,” Jakus continued. “I have said early on that our goal is by the time we get to [AAC] play, we can lead the league in bench points.”
