Owls offer a Primetime in Paradise Pack for next Saturday's game against North Texas

Good Morning, Owl Nation. Florida Atlantic football hosts North Texas next Saturday night (Oct. 12) in a key AAC game at FAU Stadium. The game kicks off at 7 p.m. ET. It is Tricounty Appreciation Day as the Owls honor groups from the counties of Palm Beach, Dade, and Broward that positively impact the community.

The Department of Athletics has announced a Primetime in Paradise Pack for the game, offering four tickets for $22. A limited number of premium seating options are also available for suites and boxes.

🔼 Let the Madness Begin. Florida Atlantic has announced that its fourth annual Paradise Madness is set for Wednesday, Oct. 16, at 7 p.m. ET to mark the official beginning of the men's and women's basketball season. Admission is free, and doors to Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena will open at 6:30 p.m.

Join the 2024-25 men's and women's basketball teams, along with first-year men's head coach John Jakus and women's head coach Jennifer Sullivan, as their squads are presented to the fans for the first time.

🔼 Above and Beyond. Florida Atlantic Athletics has named its Prestige Windows & Doors Student-Athletes of the Month for September, with men's soccer's Nick Kinina and Roberta Circi from the women's swimming and diving team receiving honors.
 
"Nick has gotten off to an incredible start this fall semester," said Jordan Pitre, FAU's Director of Student-Athlete Development and an Athletic Academic Advisor.  "As his team enters the heart of their season, he has balanced the demands of his sport and the classroom with exceptional dedication.”

"She [Roberta] consistently excels academically while also serving as one of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representatives for the FAU Swimming and Diving team,” said Hannah Smith, FAU's Assistant Director of SASC.

🔼 Beyond Paradise. Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season is in the books, with eight former Florida Atlantic Owls seeing action, including Evan Anderson hitting the field for the first time in his NFL career.

- After spending the first three weeks on the practice squad, Anderson earned his first regular season game opportunity and was activated for San Francisco's 30-13 victory over the New England Patriots. The rookie wasted no time making an impact in his 19 snaps on defense, recording two tackles and a sack in the fourth quarter.

🔼 Hardwood Hoopla. The AAC announced the 2024-25 schedules for women's basketball on Wednesday afternoon. FAU will compete in an 18-game conference slate, highlighted by nine home games inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. Tipoff times will be released at a later date.
 
The Owls will launch their second season in the AAC on Sunday, Dec. 29, in Paradise when they host the Tulane Green Wave.
 
The 2025 American Athletic Conference Tournament will take place on March 8-12 at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas.

🔼 Court is in Session. The Florida Atlantic Owls have a split weekend as they close out their six-game homestand on Friday, Oct. 4, against Memphis, before heading out on their first AAC road trip of the year, traveling to Philadelphia on Sunday to take on Temple.

🔼 Mac is Back! It’s time for a check-in with Coach Mac as the fall season ramps up. We talk fall exhibition schedule plus expectations for some of the returners. Then we dip into the mailbag, chat about Owls in the Pros, and hit on some playoff baseball. It’s a jam-packed 79 minutes.

🔼 Pool Play. The Florida Atlantic men's and women's swimming and diving teams are heading back on the road this weekend for the annual TYR Fall Classic, a dual meet hosted by FIU that includes several teams.
 
Today’s meet will begin at 4 p.m. ET, and Saturday's events on Oct. 5 will begin at 10 a.m.

🔼 Raincheck. Florida Atlantic's women's soccer team has added a match on Sunday, Oct. 6, at Miami. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m. ET. The Owls will head to Miami to play the Hurricanes for the second time this season, this time in Coral Gables, Fla. Florida Atlantic has had two matches canceled due to inclement weather. 

🔼 Toe to Toe With Tulsa. Florida Atlantic men's soccer (2-3-3, 0-1-1 AAC) travels to Oklahoma tonight for an AAC matchup with Tulsa (1-7-1, 0-2 AAC). Kick time is set for 8 p.m. EST. Five league games remain on the conference schedule.
 
The Owls enter the match with Noah Kvifte having earned a spot on this week’s AAC honorable mention list.

🔼 A Rewind and Look Ahead. Episode eight of Florida Atlantic's Inside the Owls' Burrow airs this week on Bally Sports tonight at 9:30 p.m. ET and Saturday, Oct. 5, at 11:30 a.m.
 
This week, head football coach Tom Herman will review the Owls' 41-10 win over Wagner. In this week's "Pads Off" segment, learn more about defensive tackle Jaden Wheeler. The show also features linebacker Zyere Horton and his off-field hobby of graphic design. Finally, the "Where Are They Now" segment catches up with former Owl Linebacker Quentin Swain.
