🔼 Packed Week in Paradise. Men’s soccer hosts in-state rival South Florida tonight at 7 p.m. on ESPN+ as it chases a chance to defend last year’s American Championship. The diamonds come alive this weekend with softball opening exhibition play Friday against Lynn and baseball heading to Miami on Saturday, while both cross country teams race for league honors. Hoops tips off Monday with women’s basketball at Miami on ACCNX and men’s basketball hosting LIU at Abessinio Court. It’s a busy week for the Owls!

🔼 Short Week, Big Stage. Florida Atlantic travels to Denton for the first of two straight Thursday night games on national TV, kicking off at 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN against an undefeated-in-league North Texas squad. The Owls ride in off a 51-49 shootout win over Rice powered by Easton Messer’s five-touchdown day, and Caden Veltkamp leads the nation in completions per game feeding him and Kelby Valsin, who rank one-two in the American in receptions, receiving yards, and yards per game. Special teams have been a weapon too, with FAU’s return units combining for four touchdowns, the most of any FBS program this season.
🔼 Hardware for a Historic Day. Easton Messer’s five-touchdown explosion against Rice has brought in a haul of hardware, with the fifth-year receiver named American Conference Offensive Player of the Week, Paul Hornung Award National Player of the Week, and Burlsworth Trophy Walk-On of the Week. He piled up 262 all-purpose yards with two rushing scores, two receiving scores, and an 82-yard punt return, becoming the first FBS player in at least 20 years to pull off that combination in a single game. A former walk-on who started at Western Kentucky, Messer now leads all active FBS players with 260 career receptions and ranks second in both receiving yards and all-purpose yards.

🔼 Senior Sendoff. Florida Atlantic men’s soccer honors nine seniors before tonight’s home date with South Florida on ESPN+ at 7 p.m. Alfred Mikkelsen headlines the group, closing out a career that has him in reach of the best goals against average in program history and on track to land among the program’s leaders in keeper minutes, shutouts, and wins. The Owls have beaten the Bulls in each of the last two meetings and wrap the regular season at UAB on Sunday.

🔼 13 on National TV. Florida Atlantic men’s basketball released its full 2026-27 schedule, featuring 13 nationally televised games, including 10 in American Conference play. The Owls open Nov. 2 at home against LIU and play a record number of non-conference home games before the league slate begins New Year’s Eve against Charlotte on ESPNU. Two multi-team events dot December, with VCU at the Hall of Fame Series Orlando and a pair of games in Frisco at the Texas Legends College Classic.

🔼 16 Nights in Boca. Florida Atlantic women’s basketball locked in tip times and broadcast info for 2026-27, a slate built around 16 home dates and an 18-game American Conference schedule split evenly home and away. The Owls open Nov. 2 at Miami on ACC Network Extra before a trip to Florida on SEC Network+ later that month, with every other game on the schedule streaming on ESPN+. Two home holiday events fill out the non-conference slate, the Thanksgiving Classic in late November and the Holiday Classic in December.

🔼 Primetime in Paradise. Florida Atlantic hosts UTSA on ESPN on Thursday, Nov. 5, with kickoff moved up 30 minutes to 7:30 p.m. The Roadrunners come in sitting atop the American Conference standings at 7-1, while FAU holds a 3-2 edge in the all-time series. It’s the program’s first Thursday home game since 2006 and its sixth nationally televised game of the season, the most ever in a regular season, with Publix sponsoring Paradise Appreciation/Vice Night.

🔼 First Taste of Hardware. Freshman Ryder Hamann picked up ASUN Diver of the Week, the first award of his college career and the first conference honor of the season for Florida Atlantic. The Arizona native won the 3-meter with a 298.05 and placed second on the 1-meter in the Owls’ win over defending NAIA national champion Keiser. Hamann and the diving team head to the South Florida Diving Invitational in Coral Springs on Nov. 7.

🔼 Gold on the Sand. Denisse Morgenstern and Ava Koehl ran the table at the AVCA East Qualifier over the weekend, winning the championship with a straight-set takedown of Florida State’s top-seeded pair of Addison and Avery Junk. The duo never dropped a set across five matches, sweeping Jacksonville, FGCU, South Florida, and Florida State before the title match. Several more Sandy Owls duos finished unbeaten in the silver and bronze divisions, and the team heads to the AVCA Beach National Championships in Huntsville, Nov. 6-8.
