🔼 Owls Doin’ Their Thang. Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season is in the books, with eight former Florida Atlantic Owls seeing action.
#91 Trey Hendrickson | DE | Cincinnati Bengals
- Playing in primetime, Hendrickson put forth yet another elite performance, pressuring the New York Giants quarterback all night. He notched two sacks to put him at five on the season and three QB hits for ten total in 2024. This marks the 13th multi-sack performance of his eight-year career.
🔼 Who Doesn’t Love Clean Sheets? Florida Atlantic's women's soccer team finished their match against Rice in a 0-0 draw on a windy Thursday evening. This marked the second time these two teams have faced each other since joining the American Athletic Conference.
The Owls move to 4-4-1 against Rice in program history, adding another clean sheet for the season and improving to 2-8-4, 1-3-2 AAC.
🔼 Next Gen Knows. Florida Atlantic beach volleyball assistant coach Kristi Tekavec was recognized as an American Volleyball Coaches Association Thirty Under 30 Beach honoree on Wednesday. Now in their fourth year, these awards shine a spotlight on the great work that the next generation of beach coaches is doing to help the ever-increasing number of high school beach players—both girls and boys.
This is Coach Tekavec's second honor, recognizing her continued commitment to the sport as one of just eight Thirty Under 30 Beach repeat award winners.
