🔼 Media Day. Media Day is in the books for FAU men’s and women’s hoops! Head coaches John Jakus and LeAnn Freeland joined players Kanaan Carlyle, Niccolo Moretti, Destyne Jackson, and Erin Rodgers for a packed day of interviews, photo sessions, and networking with media from across the league.

The event celebrated the excitement building for the 2025–26 season as both teams prepare for new American competition. The men’s team, picked sixth in the preseason poll, opens the year on Nov. 3 against Boston College, while the women tip off on Nov. 4 versus Florida Memorial.

🔼 Conference Standout. FAU football’s Kaden Shields-Dutton earned an American Conference honorable mention for his performance against UAB on Saturday! Shields-Dutton ran for 77 yards and a touchdown in the Owls’ dominating win.

🔼 Three Times. Aboudacar Traore earned his third American Conference honorable mention of the season this week! Traore scored his third goal of the season in FAU’s 2-0 win over Memphis on Sunday night.

🔼 Next Installment. The 10th episode of Inside the Owls’ Burrow drops tomorrow at 10 a.m.! On this episode, Frank Forte and Hagerty Family Head Football Coach Zach Kittley recap FAU’s huge win over UAB, preview the team’s upcoming battle against No. 19 South Florida, and talk with DL coach Devin Santana. DB and team captain Wendol Philord will be featured on this week’s “Wired for Sound.”
