🔼 Two In A Row. FAU picked up its second straight win with a dominating 53-33 victory over UAB on Saturday. FAU’s offense exploded for seven touchdowns on its first nine possessions of the game.

RB Kaden Shields-Dutton became the first Owl to score multiple rushing TDs this season, while WR Asaad Waseem posted his first 100+ yard receiving game of the season, hauling in 105 yards on seven catches. Meanwhile, WR Jayshon Platt finished with 203 all-purpose yards, including 74 through the air and 10 on the ground.

FAU was just as dominant defensively, with DL CJ Doggette posting two sacks and 2.5 TFLs, while linebacker Tyler Stolsky led the way with 11 tackles.

🔼 Holding Serve. FAU volleyball posted a four-set win over East Carolina on the road yesterday. Olivia Hart led the way with 18 kills, while Anna Hartman added 14 and Kayla Richardson posted 11. Zoe Winford posted a team-high 17 digs, while Victoria Hensley, Isabelle Northam, and Hart each had 14. Hartman and Maggie Allred each led the team in blocks with seven.

The team will face Temple at home on Friday, Oct. 17 at 6 p.m.

🔼 Keep Rolling. FAU men’s soccer kept rolling on Sunday night with a win over Memphis! After a scoreless first half in which the Owls kept Memphis from logging a shot attempt, FAU opened the scoring in the 50th minute with a goal from Andreas Raisanen. Aboubacar Traore added a second goal later in the half to cement the victory. Your Owls are now winners of five straight and seven in a row at home, and will play Charlotte on the road on Friday at 6 p.m.

🔼 Ranked Battle. FAU women’s soccer played No. 8 Memphis to a 2-1 loss on the road last night. Goalie Ashley Small made four saves for the Owls and Madison Micioni scored in the second half with the assist from Morgan McDonald. The Owls will be back on the pitch on Sunday, Oct. 19, against UAB at 1 p.m.

🔼 Trophy Case. Alexia Patru is bringing home some hardware! The women’s tennis freshman won the trophy in the Flight B field at the ITA Bedford Cup over the weekend. The Owls will next take the court beginning Oct. 16 at the ITA Regionals in Orlando through Oct. 20.

Beach volleyball’s Erica Brok, football’s Harrison Bryant, Trey Hendrickson, and D’Joun Smith, men’s basketball’s Greg Gantt, women’s golf’s Karen Gray, volleyball’s Capri Grotowski, and baseball’s Mike McKenna were all cemented into Owls’ lore.
