🔼 He’s Not Real. Week 5 of the 2024 NFL season is in the books, with six former Florida Atlantic Owls seeing action.

Active Owls (6)
#0 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | Houston Texans
- It was a heroic outing for Al-Shaair in the Texans' last-second 23-20 victory over the Buffalo Bills. Leading the defense on all 61 of their snaps, he was all over the field in run defense, coverage, and pass rush. His final tally of eight tackles, two pass breakups, and two quarterback hits is even more impressive, considering the 24 hours prior were spent in the emergency room due to illness.

🔼 Post-Hurricane Hoorah. Florida Atlantic men's soccer (2-4-3, 0-2-1 AAC) enters the final stretch of the conference schedule tonight, welcoming USF (4-2-4, 2-1 AAC) for a 7 p.m. ET kick. It's also a big night of giveaways at the FAU Soccer Stadium, including an MLS ball, a 40-inch TV, and a Coca-Cola bicycle.

🔼  Switching Lanes. The Florida Atlantic men's and women's swimming and diving teams are back on the road today for a one-day meet hosted by Nova Southeastern that includes Barry. Action will begin at 2 p.m. ET.

This marks the first time since January 2013 that the Owls will compete in a meet hosted by Nova. While they were in Fort Lauderdale last year, the meet was rescheduled due to weather.

🔼 Incoming Fax. Florida Atlantic's swimming and diving teams have earned their first weekly award of the 2024-25 season. Freshman Isac Faxius has been named the ASUN Diver of the Week

Competing at the TYR Fall Classic hosted by Florida International on Friday and Saturday, Faxius tallied a first-place finish in the 3m diving totaling a final score of 325.30. This performance by Faxius was instrumental in helping the Owls finish second in the meet overall. The score of 325.30 helped Faxius crack the Florida Atlantic all-time top 10 for the men's 3m diving, now placing him 10th all-time.

🔼 On the Road Again. The Florida Atlantic Owls remain on the road this weekend as they head to Tulsa, Oklahoma, today to take on the Tulsa Golden Hurricane and Wichita, Kansas, on Sunday, Oct. 13, to face the Wichita State Shockers.

The Owls’ first serve against Tulsa is set for 7 p.m. ET tonight, while Sunday's first serve at Wichita State is set for 2 p.m. ET.
