🔼 In The Dust 💨. The Florida Atlantic women's Track & Field team closed out the RADD Florida Invitational with a total of ten program records.
The Owls started the morning with Andi VanMeter and Isabel O'Brien setting new program records in the 5000-meter. VanMeter is now listed No. 7 in program history with a time of 17:40.91, while O'Brien is now ranked No. 9. Florida Atlantic had three in the top 10 (Constance Pittet, Jessica Hatch and Elyssa Toal) once again, this time in the 800-meter run.
👟: FULL RUNDOWN
🔼 Left It All On the Court. Florida Atlantic men's tennis fought for the second consecutive match until the bitter end, ultimately falling to No. 56 Clemson on Saturday afternoon.
The Owls, who fell to 0-2 overall, took advantage of the wind early on, facing a Clemson team who, despite having three matches under their belts, was playing their first match of 2025 outdoors. The Tigers, 4-0 overall, fought back from early large doubles play deficits, but ultimately, FAU held on to earn the best two-of-three doubles point.
🔼 Jenks’ Career Best Not Enough. The Florida Atlantic Owls battled back with a third-quarter rally, but fell short 73-61 against the North Texas Mean Green on Saturday at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
Ta'Ziah Jenks led the Owls against the Mean Green. Jenks finished with a game-high 23 points, tying her career-best, shooting 43 percent (9-of-21) from the field, and going 2-of-8 from beyond the arc, and 3-of-5 from the line, in addition to tying for a team-high five boards, an assist, a steal, and a block.
🔼 Sunday Setback. The Florida Atlantic's men's basketball team fell to North Texas in a 77-64 defeat on Sunday afternoon. With the loss, the Owls move to 10-10 on the season, 3-4 in American Athletic Conference play after facing a Mean Green team sitting at the top of the conference.
Kaleb Glenn recorded the third 20+ point outing of his career, all coming this season. Redshirt junior forward Tre Carroll added 10 points. He has now scored in double figures for six consecutive games
