🔼 Home Win. FAU women’s hoops downed Wichita State, 88-64, at home last night. Michiyah Simmons led the way for the Owls with 17 points, while Vivian Onugha scored 16 points and added 10 rebounds for a double-double. Grace Carstensen (15), Jess Moors (11), and Madi Gewirtz (10) rounded out the Owls who finished in double digit figures.

🔼 Standing Out. FAU men’s hoops’ Kanaan Carlyle is the American Player of the Week! Carlyle helped guide the Owls to wins over UAB and Memphis in the last week. Against UAB, Carlyle scored 25 points and added five rebounds and three steals. Against Memphis, he tallied 17 points with three boards and two assists.

🔼 Preseason Recognition. FAU softball is well-represented in the Softball America preseason honors! Pitcher Autumn Courtney landed at No. 50 on the Top 100 Preseason Players of the Year in preseason rankings for pitchers. Outfielder Kylie Hammonds checked in at No. 24 in the preseason outfielder rankings, and Madilyn Byrd, Ashlynn Durkin, Makenna Lee, Lily Lowery, and Sara Harris all earned spots on the Freshman Watch List.

🔼 A New Start. FAU men’s tennis is set to open its 2026 season today, hosting North Florida at the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center at 4 p.m. The Owls will then hit the road for a West Coast road trip to battle UCSB on Saturday and Pepperdine on Sunday. 🔼 A Season Begins. FAU women’s tennis is set to open its 2026 campaign on Friday, Jan. 16, on the road against North Florida. The two teams will square off for the 14th time in program history. Full preview here.
