FAU Football has finalized the first additions to its on-field coaching staff
Good morning, Owls Family. FAU Football has finalized the first additions to its on-field coaching staff, as announced by new head coach Zach Kittley. Kittley was hired in December, coming to Boca following a successful three-year stint at Texas Tech as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. One of the brightest offensive minds in college football, Kittley's teams have consistently ranked among the nation's leaders in total offense, scoring, and passing.

🔼 Tennis With a Twist. Florida Atlantic men's tennis opened the 2025 season this week by hosting a three-day hidden-dual tournament, the first such in program history. Boca Raton and the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center served as the event site for the four team participants, including the Owls, Army, Mercer, and Wisconsin.
FAU opened the weekend with a three-match double sweep versus their Army opponents and then took two-of-three doubles matches versus Mercer, winning on courts one and three. Friday's nightcap saw FAU run the singles' table over Army.

🔼 All the Single(s) Ladies. Florida Atlantic women's tennis made three trips down south this weekend, participating in the FIU Invite featuring the Owls, DePaul, host FIU, and Missouri.
The weekend was an opportunity for the Owls to play as individuals one last time before moving into the dual match season this Thursday, Jan. 16, when they play host to Miami at 11 a.m. ET.
The Owls captured two-of-three doubles matches on Friday to get 2025 started and then captured two-of-six singles matches played.

🔼 Don’t Call It a Comeback. Florida Atlantic's men's basketball team fell to UAB by a score of 81-76 on Sunday afternoon at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. With the loss to the Blazers (10-7, 3-1 AAC), the Owls fall to 9-7, 2-2 AAC on the season.
A matchup between the top two scoring teams in the AAC came down to the final minute The Owls stormed back from a double-digit deficit to take a lead with three minutes remaining. Redshirt junior forward Tre Carroll was relentless on both ends of the floor in the comeback, ultimately leading the team with 20 points.
🔼 Blip Against the Blazers. The Florida Atlantic Owls fell in a 73-61 fight against the UAB Blazers on Saturday inside Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
Stefanie Ingram led the way for the Owls with a career-high 16 points, shooting 58 percent (7-of-12) from the field and 100 percent (1-of-1) from 3-point range, while also adding six boards and dishing out a team-high four assists. Mya Perry also registered double-figures in the contest, recording 14 points, six boards, and an assist.
