🔼 Owl Be Over Here Studying. Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball's Ashleigh Adams, Kate McLaughlin, Julie Honzovicova, Courtney Moon, and Marketa Svozilova were named to the 2024 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
 
This is Honzovicova's second consecutive honor after earning the accolade following the 2023 season, and it is Adams, McLaughlin, Moon, and Svozilova's first career honor.

🔼 And Then She Turned Into a Butterfly. Utility/Pitcher Trinity Schlotterbeck signed with the Texas Monarch in the Women's Professional Fastpitch League.

Schlotterbeck was a vital piece for the Owls in the 2024 season as she finished leading the Owls in home runs (10) and runs batted in (47) and set a program record with nine RBI and three home runs in a game against Wichita State on Mar. 10. She totaled 144.0 innings with a 16-7 record on the season.

Making her professional debut the week of June 17, Schlotterbeck has made two appearances since she signed with the Monarchs. 

🔼 Oh Captain, Our Captain. The Florida Atlantic women's soccer program has named Lexi Gonzalez and Leila Etemadi its captains for the 2024 season.

Goalkeeper Lexi Gonzalez was a two-time AAC Goalkeeper of the Week recipient. Gonzalez recorded 60 saves on the season, improving to 100+ career saves.

Junior Midfielder Leila Etemadi started in 11 of the 19 games played in the 2023 season for Florida Atlantic. Etemadi was named to the 2023 CSC All-District Academic Team. She totaled 1111 minutes last season. 

🔼 She’s Wicked Smaht. Clem has earned her way to the College Sports Communicators’ Academic All-District Team—next stop: Academic All-America, which will be announced on July 16!

🔼 “Moore” Of This, Please. Josh Moore, an alumnus of Florida Atlantic's football team in 2022 and 2023, has been named the 2024 Athlete Creator of the Year per the NIL Summit.
 
In a social post by NILSubmit, the honor recognizes Moore's outstanding content creation skills across social media platforms; “@joh_moore138 has effectively leveraged his Name, Image, and Likeness to engage and inspire!"
