Good morning, FAU Family. Florida Atlantic softball (36-12- 16-5 AAC) swept the Roadrunners on Sunday afternoon after a 3-1 victory to close out the series. 
 
With the sweep the Owls improve to 36-12 overall and 16-5 in conference play. The victory this afternoon marked the 36th win of the season. Head Coach Jordan Clark surpasses her 35 wins from last season.

🔼 Seriously Sandy Biz. The No. 18-ranked Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team will open postseason play next week as the No. 3 seed heading into the Conference USA Championship on April 25-27 at Sugar Beach in Youngsville, Louisiana. Nine teams will compete in a double-elimination bracket format. As the three-seed, the Sandy Owls will kick off play on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. EST, facing off No. 6-seed UTEP.

🔼 Beyond the Sand. No. 18 Florida Atlantic Beach Volleyball's Ashleigh Adams was named to the Conference USA Beach Volleyball All-Academic Team. The sophomore has been on the Dean's list, President's list, and All-Academic team all three semesters at FAU while maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
 
Adams boasts a team-leading 22-8 record this season, including a season-best 12-5 record on court two. She has secured five ranked wins and was named CUSA Pair of the Week on April 3.

🔼 Paging Austin to Paradise. Another day, another Florida Atlantic head men's basketball coach John Jakus hire—this time, Isaiah Austin as assistant coach. Austin joins Jakus' inaugural staff after two years working in the NBA front office, focusing on player development.

🔼  Max Out. Florida Atlantic Men's Golf (+21) finished ninth at the American Conference Championship on Sunday afternoon. Max Sturdza was the Owls' best finisher in a tie for sixth. In his final collegiate round, the fifth-year senior circled five birdies en route to a one-over, 71.  It was his seventh Top 10 finish in 10 events this season.

🔼 A Wave of Regret. Florida Atlantic baseball had a 5-2 lead on Tulane with two outs in the top of the ninth inning on Sunday. Nine batters, six hits, and seven runs later, the Green Wave had turned the game on its head to take the rubber game by a 9-5 final score. The Owls will try to rebound in non-conference action on Tuesday at Miami. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. EST.
