🔼 Making Waves. Florida Atlantic baseball will start its postseason journey tomorrow against Tulane in the first game of the American Conference Tournament in Clearwater, Florida. The Owls and the Green Wave are scheduled for the final game of day one, so first pitch is tentatively scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Tulane is the defending AAC Tournament champions. The Green Wave finished the regular season 31-24 overall and 15-12 in conference play. The Owls will face Charlotte or UTSA in the second game of the double-elimination tournament either Wednesday or Thursday, depending on Tuesday's result.

🔼 Heads Held High. The Florida Atlantic softball team fell to FGCU 3-2 in the elimination game on Saturday night at the NCAA Regionals. And with that, the Owls' season comes to an end with a beyond-impressive 41-16 record on a year that saw Florida Atlantic return to the NCAA postseason for the first time in eight years.

Graduate Trinity Schlotterbeck started in the circle for the Owls for the 24th time this season and threw her 10th complete game. Schlotterbeck moves to 16-7 on the year and set a season-high of nine strikeouts in a game. Outfielder Presley Leebrick led the Owls with 46 walks on the season

🔼 Dual Threats. Graduate Trinity Schlotterbeck and Sophomore Jesiana Mora were named NFCA All-Region.

One of the 13 NFCA First Team All-Region, Schlotterbeck was named as a utility/pitcher. She has pitched a total of 137.0 innings with a 16-6 record on the season. Schlotterbeck has thrown nine complete games, four of them shutouts. A dual threat, she went into the NCAA Regional with a .299 batting average. She also set a program record of three home runs and nine RBI in a game against Wichita State earlier in the season.

The third baseman Mora was named Second Team All-Region. Mora leads the Owls with a .393 batting average on the season. She has appeared in all 55 games this season at third base.

🔼 From Poland With Love. Malwina Rowinska will transfer to Florida Atlantic this August, joining a women’s tennis team that lost just one senior, returns six, and is hungry to build upon their national ranking. The Poland native will join fellow FAU newcomer Lara Smejkal when classes begin in August. The duo will join an Owls' team that returns four who posted double-digit wins.

Some quick stats on Rowinska:

  • Signed with the Gators in August of 2023, where she she was 6-4 at No. 1 doubles, including 6-3 in SEC action

  • Before Florida, Rowinska was ranked globally in the top 100 by the International Tennis Federation

  • Has four national championships in singles, doubles, and teams

  • Made it to the 2022 US Open quarterfinals

🦉 ONE BIG THING

Top of the Food Chain. The Florida Atlantic Owls baseball time took the time to thank their amazing seniors for all their contributions.
