Paradise Brew 5/29 -

The FAU men's tennis team finished first AAC season in the highest ranking they've achieved

Good morning, FAU Family. The Florida Atlantic men's tennis team concluded the 2023-24 season, their first in the American Athletic Conference, with a 16-7 record and a No. 45 national ranking.

No. 45 is the highest final ranking the men's team has achieved. It is the fifth consecutive year the Owls have found themselves among the nation's best and the sixth time in the last seven years.

The Owls will return five from the 2023-24 squad and will welcome four to a team built with the goal of an AAC Championship in mind.

🔼 In Trinity We Trust. Utility/Pitcher Trinity Schlotterbeck has been named Softball American Second Team All-American.

Schlotterbeck finished the season leading the Owls in home runs (10) and runs batted in (47), a 2.67 ERA, and a .293 batting average at the plate. She has pitched a total of 144.0 innings with a 16-7 record on the season. The talented twirler was also named AAC First Team All-Conference and NFCA First Team All-Region for postseason accolades.

🔼 Panning to Next Season. The Florida Atlantic women's tennis team finished the 2023-24 season with a 13-9 record and a No. 73 national ranking.

Much of the Owls' success can be attributed to the play of American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year Panna Bartha, who won her first 11 collegiate matches that were played to completion and was up in a 12th at the time the match was clinched.

FAU will return five players while welcoming four newcomers to the 2024-25 squad.

🦉 ONE BIG THING

The Stepping Stone Season. The Owls' softball season may have come to an end but with a 41-16 record on a year that saw Florida Atlantic return to the NCAA postseason for the first time in eight years, the future is looking bright. 😎
