🔼 Keepin’ It Home. Bragging rights and another year with the Shula Bowl trophy is on the line when the Panthers of FIU come to FAU Stadium tomorrow night.

The 22nd edition of the Shula Bowl is slated to kickoff at 6 p.m.

Florida Atlantic holds a 16-4 all-time series record and is 10-1 in Paradise. FAU's Hagerty Family Head Football Coach Tom Herman will lead the Owls into the Shula Bowl for the first time. It will be FIU's Head Coach Mike MacIntyre's second Shula Bowl and first time playing at FAU.

🔼 Nolan Is Rollin’. On a warm September night in Minneapolis, a former Owl got a little closer to program history.

In the Angels’ 6-4 loss to the Twins on Wednesday night, former FAU standout Nolan Schanuel launched his 13th HR of the season to go along with his 49 RBIs.

He is now just two HRs away from tying Chris Johnson for the most single-season MLB home runs by a former Owl.

Schanuel would also join Johnson in becoming the only FAU alums to have a season with 50+ RBIs in the big leagues as well.

At Sage Dental, we focus on preventing dental emergencies, but we understand they can happen. Here are tips for handling common emergencies:

  • Toothache: Rinse with warm water, floss gently, apply a cold pack for swelling,

    and see a dentist promptly.

  • Knocked-Out Tooth: Handle by the crown, rinse gently, store in milk or saline if

it won’t go back in the socket, and see a dentist within 30 minutes.

  • Chipped/Broken Tooth: Save pieces, eat soft foods, apply gauze to stop

bleeding, use a cold pack for swelling, and seek dental care immediately.

  • Lost Filling/Crown: Keep the crown, rinse with warm water, avoid chewing on

the affected side, and visit the dentist for repair.

Seek immediate care for severe pain, excessive bleeding, signs of infection, a knocked-out tooth, or significant damage. Prevent emergencies by maintaining good oral hygiene, regular check-ups, wearing protective gear, and watching your diet. Contact Sage Dental for all your dental needs!
