⚾️ MLB Draft Day ⇢ In 2018, while the Florida Atlantic Owls' baseball team was in between innings during the decisive game of the Gainesville Regional, the Tampa Bay Rays used their second-round MLB Draft selection on FAU junior shortstop Tyler Frank.

The final day of the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft saw four more Florida Atlantic University Owls come off the board for a total of five in the three-day proceedings. Two juniors – Mike Ruff (11th round) and Eric Rivera (14th round) – were followed by seniors Vince Coletti (17th round) and Blake Sanderson (31st round) to wrap the annual event.
