🔼 Iron Men. First, but not last. FAU men's golf won the team title at the Ironwood Collegiate Classic yesterday, finishing with a team total of 834 (-30) to win by seven (7!) shots over fellow AAC opponent and tournament hosts East Carolina. The victory marks the first under first-year head coach Adrien Mörk.

The Owls entered the final round with a one shot lead and quickly added to it thanks to Alex Maguire, who entered the final round in second place but found his groove on the back nine—finishing with a birdie on the 11th, an eagle on the par-five 13th, and another birdie at the 16th to post 71.

🔼 Owls Of A Different Feather. FAU men's soccer is riding high into tonight’s matchup against Temple after winning Player of the Week honors on both sides of the ball last week—Noah Kvifte won AAC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring the game-winning goal with just over four minutes remaining in the game last Friday, and Chadi Mayati earned Defensive Player of the Week after playing a key role in the same game and holding Memphis without a shot on goal.

(What’s even more impressive is Memphis entered with the AAC's leading goal scorer.)

This is the first weekly conference honor for either player, and they join freshman Oliver Moller-Jensen who was named AAC Rookie of the Week earlier this season.

New coach. New era. New conference. New tailgate experiences for FAU football fans.

The Owls will play their inaugural American Athletic Conference contests against Tulsa this Saturday, October 7 and will then host UTSA on Saturday, October 21—and in celebration of the historic first two AAC contests, a new tailgating event is being presented by Islamorada Brewery & Distillery.

While the kick times have not been announced, the tailgates will open two and a half hours prior to game time and will be located outside of FAU Stadium Gates 1 and 2.
